Alas, Ireland has not got the memo on how and how not to fight bias, prejudice, and hate.
There is now a proposed “hate speech” bill that would make mere possession of hateful media content either in hard copy form or on a smart device a crime, regardless of whether it was communicated to any other person, would criminalize resisting a police search for such media, and reverse the burden of proof to the accused:

Just when the Irish started throwing off off the tyranny of the Roman Catholic Church and got rid of laws against blasphemy, the Government has to go doing this!
I get the feeling that the lyrics will be changing to: “Go away from Erin, Mavourneen, Mavourneen; Go away even, if it’s the land of thy birth…”
