The nature of warfare is changing apace. A lot of our formerly most formidable weapons are being obviated by new counter-technologies. The days of tank dominance seem numbered as do the days of the dominant navy. Cheap drones made of off-the-shelf components and relatively low-powered bombs or even hand grenades are taking out Russian tanks. And drone swarms can take out an entire battlefield full of soldiers with a number of antipersonnel weapons. As for aircraft carriers, destroyers, and other surface ships, stealthy manned submarines are just the beginning. Now, they have to worry about stealthy drones lurking on the deep sea bottom, waiting to be activated either by their navy or in response to built-in AI.
