before the council’s open debate on the Middle East, scheduled for April 18.
Yeah, what a conspiracy. We need to find out the concerns of all the immediate neighbors. The ones with real militaries who gave up on invading Israel years ago. And is Hamas going to be in charge? Because we know that will never work. That’s why the billionaire Hamas/Iranian leadership is pushing for peace all of a sudden, to save their death grip on Palestine.

Yeah, we can force an election where outside powers make sure Hamas doesn’t win and then there’ll be a two states, both artificially-created by outside powers, because that’s how we do things in the West.
June 13, 2024 at 8:34 pm #54017So, what is a “civilian,” anyway?
As Seder points out, “You don’t get a War Crimes for Free card because the other side has committed war crimes.”
BTW, just based on his name, I’m pretty sure Sam Seder is Jewish.

The military leader of Hamas has said he believes he has gained the upper hand over Israel and that the spiralling civilian death toll in Gaza would work in the militant group’s favor, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal, citing leaked messages the newspaper said it had seen.
“We have the Israelis right where we want them,” Yahya Sinwar told other Hamas leaders recently, according to one of the messages, the WSJ reported Monday. In another, Sinwar is said to have described civilian deaths as “necessary sacrifices” while citing past independence-related conflicts in countries like Algeria.

Yep.
The israeli government, according to that guy, is playing right into their hands by killing Palestinian noncombatants willy-nilly.
Thanks for the quote.

They absolutely have to crush Hamas as a responsibility. It does show us who the real killers are, as if we didn’t already know that. They have always been very honest about their genocidal ideology. I saw a mother rejoicing yesterday because her son is now “a martyr”. Literally the stupidest people/culture that ever existed.
June 14, 2024 at 8:20 pm #54022Robert,
I have thought ever since Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel that the only option: DESTROY HAMAS. All of these racist mofos on the left from UN, Unwra, Amnesty etc to Jihadist/Islamists can find unity in hating Jews. I was reading recently how the Iranian revolution was led by lefty’s. But as soon as the Islamists came to power they executed the lefty’s with gusto. These fucking moronic and ignorant college students would get same fate if they were under the umbrella of the ones they are bleeding liberal blood over. The following article sums shit up reasonably well. I was not aware of the letter from prez. Bushwhacker.

A child in a suicide vest is all you need to know about those people. But what about the 2 billion “moderate Muslims”. When asked if the cartoonist who drew a cartoon featuring “big Mo” should be punished, 65% percent of Muslim residents in London said yes, punish him. Christians have been tempered by centuries of science and modern thought. The Muslim countries…well not so much. They need a reformation badly.
June 14, 2024 at 10:09 pm #54025If it is 65 percent in London what is it in Islamic nations?
MEANWHILE, the lefty’s support the Islamists in shielding Islam from criticism. Well that is great news because we would not want cultists to moderate their beliefs and behavior. Lets continue to have babies born into a cult who live lives of desperation. Say yes to cycles of ignorance and self-defeating patterns. Produce more of the same until violence is met with violence….until all of Europe, USA and Israel turn hard right. Lets make sure women are oppressed. Lets continue the march of folly in all of its splendor.
Ideally every vestige of ALL RELIGIONS would be jettisoned. We know that prospect is as chimerical as all humans being peaceful all of the time. That said there is no intrinsic reason that Islam can’t be subjected to a reformation if we stop mollycoddling and appeasing Islamists.
I still can’t get over how retarded progressivism is. My sentiments are progressive but what i see makes me puke. Take feminism. It was absolutely needed. Feminism starts as something noble and turns into something freaky. I don’t know enough about woke whether it was something noble to begin but it is not now. And the constructs demonizing Israel as a cover for hating Jews not only perpetuates and augments antisemitism (Jew hatred is anywhere from tolerated to de rigeur) but it means atrocities go virtually unreported. Nothing is expected of Muslims. Their countries/governments are so much worse than Israel but progressives have no expectations of them. The hyperfocus on Israel is concomitantly an Inspector Clouseau on Islamic nations. Both stances are very racist. Just the shit you want to avoid.
June 15, 2024 at 3:34 pm #54026Anti-Israeli conduct is not antisemitism. It isn’t even anti-Israel.
The word anti-semitism is being used nowadays as a cudgel to try to beat people into giving assent to a genocidal “final solution” to the problem.
What I’m hearing from you guys is basically “If it takes killing every last Palestinian man, woman, and child to get rid of Hamas, then so be it.

If Israel wanted to kill them all, they could do that in a week. Instead, they are feeding and supplying them and trying to create safe corridors (that Hamas shells). And when college presidents can’t admit in a hearing that protesters calling for genocide against Jews have crossed a boundary requiring punitive action….yeah…well you know the word.
June 16, 2024 at 1:04 am #54030@ Jake
If I were a Palestinian who had relatives in Gaza who had been uprooted, hassled, injured, or killed, I might blame the Jews rather than Israel, especially if were hampered by a lack of education.
Clearly, you are using a definition of antisemitism of some sort. From my end it appears to include anyone with misgivings about Israeli policies. Am I wrong?
What is your working definition of an antisemite and/or antisemitism?
June 16, 2024 at 1:33 am #54031@ Robert

Siege and Starvation: How Israel Obstructs Aid to Gaza
The brutal October 7 Hamas attacks that killed more than 1,000 Israelis prompted a massive military response intended to root out Hamas in Gaza. The conduct of Israel’s ensuing military response has wrought disproportionate death and suffering among civilians in Gaza, generating famine-like conditions while obstructing and undermining the humanitarian response.
Despite its claims to be facilitating humanitarian aid, research and analysis by Refugees International shows that Israeli conduct has consistently and groundlessly impeded aid operations within Gaza, blocked legitimate relief operations, and resisted implementing measures that would genuinely enhance the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
A Refugees International team traveled to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel in January 2024 where they interviewed key stakeholders in the aid response, displaced people inside Gaza, and people who had recently fled the conflict. Our research makes clear that conditions inside of Gaza are apocalyptic. After five months of war, Palestinians are struggling to find adequate food, water, shelter, and basic medicine. Famine-level hunger is already widespread and worsening.Israeli policies and conduct are causing a man-made humanitarian crisis. Refugees International found routine and arbitrary denial of legitimate humanitarian goods from entering Gaza; a highly complicated Israeli inspection and approval process without clear or consistent instructions; frequent denials of humanitarian movements within Gaza; clear indications that Israel has failed to establish functional humanitarian deconfliction; and persistent attacks on Gaza’s humanitarian, health, food, power, and other critical infrastructure that have simultaneously debilitated the aid effort and escalated needs.
And when college presidents can’t admit in a hearing that protesters calling for genocide against Jews have crossed a boundary requiring punitive action….yeah…well you know the word.
And?…
By which I mean, that’s a totally different issue. Of course, calling for the genocide of Jews is intolerable on a college campus, but it’s hardly on the same level as an active genocide.
