Perhaps, but a working search function should have been part of the original software package. Is the software free or a purchase, in which case there should be some support?

Also, there may be a way to add a Google or Bing search to the site. I’m looking for a video I posted maybe a half year ago about homelessness in Portland and even Google can’t find it.

Do old posts age off at some point?

If you add a Google button, Google wants the site to accept adverts as payment.  I looked into it for my own site.  That had a search function that came with the software package, but Google was better.

@unseen, I’ll pass this on to Rebel, who may or may not be able to fix it or remove the search icon.

Meanwhile, there’s a Search Tips post that’s been around for years, which I’ve also just updated for you and everyone.

E.g. for google search, you could select/highlight the line below, then copy/paste (or right-click) it:
site:atheistzone.com aliens

Edit: Hmmm, I see one of the posts I was thinking about wrt alien jaunts to Earth. You responded to it. I think I callously dismissed it in my head, even though you made your best effort. Maybe it was an assholey day for me, as I  felt I made good points and didn’t feel like pushing into it further.
