Trump is coming apart at the seams psychologically. Yet, it seems the mainstream press lately is so afraid of being accused of bias that they are engaging in what’s come to be called “bothsidesing it.” This is when the press bends over backward to make both sides of an issue seem equally true, both having good points and bad points, etc. And so, they make a big deal of it when Biden stumbles a couple times in a 67-minute State of the Union with only a couple minor stumbles—better than you or I could probably do—while largely ignoring Trump’s speeches lately, which are terrible. And, no, I don’t mean the childish name-calling and Naziesque language and imagery and admiration for dictators, or even his making fun of people with disabilities. I mean his inability to form complete sentences, his slurring of words like a drunk, his confusing people Obama for Biden, Pelosi for Haley.
Psychologists and psychiatrists are feeling a need to speak out about the danger of having such a psychological mess in The White House.

March 17, 2024 at 10:44 pm #53056Yes, his decline is obvious. He seldom completes a sentence that is coherent.

Well, I wish they’d get more greedy and start making money giving the MAGAheads the bad news about their savior, not so much for their benefit, but for the fence-sitters, the independents, and the disaffected Republicans who voted for Nikki Haley.
The mainstream press has to stop bothsidesing* it and disperse the truth.
The one good thing is that the the poor GOP is stuck with Trump now, assuming he doesn’t totally fall apart or die before the convention..
* Whenever I hear or use the term “bothsidesing,” I’m reminded of Trump’s bothsidesing in Charlottesville, equating the leftist and pro-Nazi protesters by saying there were “good people on both sides.”
March 17, 2024 at 11:42 pm #53058Trump is worried about going to prison and is doing everything he and his lawyers can do to delay trial dates to keep them from giving the voters the final word on his crimes before the election.
Actually, his best Stay Out Of Prison Free card would be a plea of mental incompetence. If he’s smart and can set aside his fragile ego for once, that is literally his trump card for avoiding the orange jumpsuit.
March 18, 2024 at 2:47 pm #53062Fellow Unbelievers,
It looks like a wash to me, only we Americans are the ones getting soaked:
Remember, folks: Nothing is a Fallacy, including “Bothsidesism”, when it is real.
March 18, 2024 at 3:23 pm #53063Trump has a platform of revenge and sucking up to xtian nationalists and dictators. Biden has a speech impediment. The smarter vote is not exactly rocket-science here. However, it is a nation chock-full of people mad about how stupid they are (as if Trump is going to fix that.) He does use 3rd grade vocabulary and basic utterances even they can understand.
March 18, 2024 at 4:07 pm #53064Is Trump lonely? Ask Andrew Jackson’s wife…I guess:
March 18, 2024 at 4:21 pm #53065March 18, 2024 at 5:30 pm #53066Trump promising a “bloodbath if I’m not elected.” Yes, on the surface, he’s talking about the car industry, but one of his specialties is that of using an unspoken subtext to say something instead of or in addition to the words actually leaving his pie hole.
Hillbilly liberal is fed up, asking “When will enough be enough?” He already incited a large-scale riot in Washington on January 6, 2021.

March 18, 2024 at 6:49 pm #53068It is so F’ing retarded to permit Trump to run.
Let the democratic process play out? Just leave it to the electorate?
Why do we even have eligibility restrictions based on place of birth if we can rely on our discerning electorate? I mean if we are truly blindsided we might end up with someone exactly like Trump. In the former we have a semi-rational basis to deny eligibility based upon possibility of allegiances to other nations. In the latter we have the manifestation of our fears and clear evidence of treason and every reason to think he will be far more brazen next go. Are democracies exempt from demagoguery and cults of personality?
And the funny thing is i have zero doubt were it discovered that Trump’s birthplace was found to be some place in Europe and neither parent citizens of USA and Trump had not attempted to thwart an election or foment a riot in the capital that nobody would deny that he is ineligible. We are retarded.
March 20, 2024 at 7:24 pm #53091Unseen,
Trump is all kinds of rotten and indeed authoritarian…But isn’t that also true of any other President who used their Executive Power beyond Constitutional limits?
And compared to Hitler? You do know Trump’s Daughter Ivanka has Jewish In-Laws and that Ivanka herself converted to Judaism and Trump accepts them both, right?
And all this while you’ve spent the last two years apple-polishing for Putin and the last 5 months doing the same for Hamas, two Totalitarian regimes that really do hate and persecute Jews? Please! 🙄

March 20, 2024 at 7:34 pm #53093Jake,
We need MOAR and better people running for office, not fewer. Keeping Trump out of office by bogus lawfare only gives greater power to the Incumbent Regime, and it doesn’t lessen the U.S. decent into madness and tyranny.
March 20, 2024 at 9:37 pm #53094Enco, i learned the acronym MOAR just now.
Keeping him out of office is no warfare, ledgerdemain or Ussery Ally. (Good luck with that reference)
I did not study the applicable constitutional provision but i heard it on TV. It is a slam dunk.
There is no greater power bestowed on the incumbent regime. Instead it is a check on the executive and greater power to the rule of law. It is ever so important that the law applies to ALL of us. The rich already have an advantage in that venue. Diiminishing the field of potential candidates by one off his rocker and dangerous cult leader as opposed to removing one of the few actual dangers is the ONLY SENSIBLE course of action.
