It’s intetesting to look at Trinidad’s ethnic demographics. The country’s origins are about 40% from India, 40% from Africa, and 20% all sorts of places.

Religion-wise, it’s about 1/4 protestant, 1/4 catholic, and 1/4 hindu. The rest is s gemisch.

We know about protestant, catholic, and muslim ideas about homosexuality. What about Hindu? Surprisingly, Hunduism is not as homophobic as the Abrahamics – it looks like there is a long tradition of accepting same-sex oriented people. Maybe the intolerance is via colonialism?
