Ok so Go Set A Watchman was pretty good… Well lets just put it this way I liked and didn’t like it. Atticus in GSAW (Go Set A Watchman) seemed like a stranger in this book. Like I said I liked the book but I couldn’t really get into it in the beginning I was practically glued to the book but then after awhile it just bored me a bit and the…[Read more]

I absolutely loved To Kill A Mockingbird it was amazing although I thought for sure (Spoiler alert!) that Tom Robinson would go free and they were sooo close to winning but then Tom runs off and well…?
But besides that I really loved it. It gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just really wish Tom Robinson hadn’t run off like he did while waiting for the possible appeal.

I just finished reading I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson.
Jude and her twin brother, Noah, are incredibly close. At thirteen, isolated Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next, while daredevil Jude cliff dives and wears red lipstick and does the talking for both of them.
But three years later, at sixteen,…[Read more]

I use to never walk around the house barefoot because to me it just felt a bit strange but I have found that walking barefoot is easier because you don’t have to go fussing with taking shoes off and on and without shoes you can feel the Earth beneath your feet which is nice.

Does going barefoot have any real proven health benefits? I’ve heard it helps with posture and balance, etc. Can it actually be good for a person to go barefoot?

Tarot cards originally started out as a card game. Way back tarot cards were used to play an ancient game similar the modern game of Bridge.

What if somebody wanted to be a druid and an atheist is that even remotely possible?? Or a pagan atheist? Wiccan atheist? Etc. In truth I think it’s possible to be atheist anything. Wiccan atheists believe in using god/goddess in a symbolic way and use the energy around them to do there spells and prayers. But is it possible to use energy in that way?

@simonm I think it would be quite easy and I would probably do the same.

What if, like on the show impastor, you had to pretend to be a pastor for quite a while? How would you go about doing that? Do think it would be easy or hard to do?

Winter Lily replied to the topic Go Set A Watchman… Fraud??? in the forum Bookish atheists 9 years, 4 months ago
@BelleRose So since Go Set A Watchman was written in mid-1950s and To Kill A Mockingbird was written in the 1960s then the proper thing todo is to read Go Set A Watchman first? Right? But Harper Lee never truly meant for Go Set A Watchman to be published so instead she wrote and published To Kill A Mockingbird Which people thought was the first…[Read more]

Winter Lily replied to the topic Go Set A Watchman… Fraud??? in the forum Bookish atheists 9 years, 4 months ago
@BelleRose That’s what my understanding of it is too. But then why call it a fraud?

Winter Lily replied to the topic Go Set A Watchman… Fraud??? in the forum Bookish atheists 9 years, 4 months ago
@BelleRose I don’t think of it to be a fraud either but they seem to be talking about whether or not its actually new. Some think that it’s not new and so they then go and call it a fraud.

I saw something online that had about there being some controversy about Harper Lee’s new book Go Set A Watchman calling the book a fraud. Here is a link to the page: http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/07/25/opinion/joe-nocera-the-watchman-fraud.html?referrer=&_r=0
