Sunday School 3 years, 2 months agoThere are roughly 2 billions Muslims. Islam is a DRIVER of immorality.
All religions are. There is nothing unique about Islam in the driving of immorality. Christian nations have oppression of women, assault against LGTBQ+ people (including murder), extreme financial corruption and abuse of power. It happens in Uganda, South Nigeria and Nicaragua…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 2 months agoPretty much what Enco said. If we look at Bhuddist countries and their democratic health we can see bad to borderline failing states: Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand. And with Hinduism we see the unhealthy Nepal and the growingly unhealthy India. Note that in Sri Lanka it is more a case of religion sewing division than say Myanmar…[Read more]

Throughout history, Muslims like the “KJ Reports” team led by Kasim Javed and Ahmed Ajmi, have never overly pro-democratic. It just doesn’t work well with such a restrictive religion.
This is Islamophobic. Democracy is as strong in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Albania as it is in Poland, Hungary or Northern Ireland. That is, it is not the parti…[Read more]

Love me some lawyer rap 🙂
I occasionally wonder if the Christians that come to this site, do so for some alternative titillation, since masturbation is a mortal sin for them.

Lol rhonjon- this is exactly what a Christian apologist sounds like.
Apropos of the child abuse aspect, the Catholic Church has a Captive insurance company (captives do not have public accounts) up here in Vermont that holds a $600 million reserve to pay off abuse victims with so they don’t go to court.
There are no other ‘child-abuse con…[Read more] -

There was something akin to Science before the method was more frequent adopted for inquiry about the natural world during the Enlightenment. Even Aristotle had a psudo method for verifying information and the Greeks had worked out something along the line of critical thinking. To say that the Bible was written in a time when or even during a time…[Read more]

rhonjon at least you’re trying it. Thanks, Unseen – very helpful.
You may notice I don’t use the right way to quote. I just copy and paste and put ordinary quote marks in the text itself.
Unseen does it properly

Rhonjon, wasn’t there some kind of basic ‘green’ tutorial in those Bible verses? Something about burning a bush that spoke in voices?

Simon,
Have you ever heard of ‘Crime of Passion’ laws?
In France in the 19th century a killing done in a jealous instant rage, for example, like catching your lover in bed with another and killing them, was actually a valid defence and you’d get off altogether.
Ahh the good old 19th Century, when jealous men were entitled to kill their betra…[Read more]

‘Disowned’ sounds a lot better than stoned to death or another sort of ‘honour kill’. And I imagine if you choose not to have an arranged marriage which is a core expectation in your family, it’d be you rejecting them.

Sikhism is not evangelical. It’s the opposite. They give whatever you need and don’t ask your religion. If you want to know about their religion, you can ask, and a teacher will be found. It is not exclusive – all are welcome to believe in the Sikh way. They’re one god, reincarnation believers.

If I was going to choose a religion, I’d pick the Sikhs.
These guys live by the standards their religion proclaims. They feed the hungry and clothe the needy of any or no religion. They have enclaves where food is given to everyone, no questions asked.
They literally live their lives the way their religion tells them to. They’ll give shelter to…[Read more]
