Leftism vs Authoritarianism in America, are those the only main characters left playing now?
The 19-1/2 minute video is about Fascism taking down or converting universities into instruments of the state. Side note, “they” now want NPR and PBS to be next on the chopping block.

Here’s the best layout of a presentation I’ve seen in a long time, especially from a politician. What Trump & Company has is doing must be more corrupt, even openly corrupt than any president in history.
@Reg, if you were considering adding this video to Sunday School, I will (or you can) steer readers to it, below.
@Enco, I’d love to hear your…[Read more]

PopeBeanie replied to the topic Dear Elon: We will NEVER colonize Mars in the forum Science 2 months, 1 week ago
I’ve believed for years that current plans to colonize Mars can’t work, but I won’t say that it will never be possible. If/when we can unlock unlimited energy, say with fusion, there is no limit to moving large payloads great distances, and maybe even one of Elon’s kids can send a fusion reactor and a boring machine to get things started…[Read more]

I’m not character assasinating the Left. The Left is already nihilisticly suicidal. I’m just providing them the cigarettes, Jagermeister, and fat back to do it to themselves.
Character assassination is trending, alongside digression from the original or most productive topic. It’s a Bannon/Trump political (and aut…[Read more]

PopeBeanie, Bernie Sanders supported the Soviet Union that created Vladamir Putin and the Putineers, and Bernie still wants their saw-bones health care system for Americans. And lest we forget, Elon Musk was embraced by the Left when the Eco Wackos thought that cars powered by Lead, acid, and Heavy Metal batteries but…

One of my best friend’s housing is suddenly at stake now, as he’s a veteran living in the Presidio in San Francisco.
I’m sure everyone’s seen Ezra Klein’s video by now about this administration’s strategy to hit all American’s hard, daily, with news about this or that disruption of government services and entitlement funding. What’s stuck in my…[Read more]

Bernie’s been on top of presenting the right topics in this new Trumpian era:
Is Musk’s behavior obviously oligarchic?

You guys beat me to post this insightful video. I’ll just add, Scientology cult creator L Ron Hubbard taught “The best defense is an offense”.

PopeBeanie replied to the topic China just won the AI wars. Wall Street panics! in the forum Science 3 months, 2 weeks ago
This is a good time to mention a kind of “pollution of AI” that’s been said to be possible. That is, when one AI gets all its data from other AI, errors and hallucinations can compound.
I wish I had the time to get into these stories (and add to the AI group), but I’m in the middle of big life change.

I’m not so sure the “AI war” is over so soon. DeepSeek being open source, i.e. not proprietary code, competitors can learn from its design. The story, other than about stock market realignment is about a realignment of how LLMs can be developed and marketed because of the sudden drop in development prices. So in my opinion, the lower costs of…[Read more]

I’ll bet you’ve seen this one before. In case you’re feeling down recently, this might help? (I did a search to see if it’s been linked to here before, but I didn’t see one.)
Turn on captions, and set translation to Auto, English.
And then from a mature therapist’s perspective…

I think I watched the trailer before because of Natalie being in it, but didn’t follow through. The audio effects alone were “manipulative”, and I mean it sets people up for dread. Very effectively, IMO. I’m just not into that. But I do generally like dark movies, especially dark comedies.
So “no” to your question again. This movie is obvious…[Read more]

Not for me. But maybe people who often suffer from panic attacks? Many people’s normal condition is to never feel like they’re in control. Plus loss of control can be kinda contagious at times, contributing to mass hysteria. I think people like Trump know how to trigger it.
Can we count people prone to psychosis?
If the answer to your question…[Read more]

I like SAN because of their attempt to give unbiased news, and sometimes point out biased “news” as in the following video. I think the biases are obvious to most of us, so it seems to me the question is, why do people keep watching and supporting these news orgs?
In any case, I avoid watching news more these days, and rely more on either short…[Read more]
