It’s interesting what you mentioned about the Christian community you were part of and how they did not really support you. I’ve encountered this sort of attitude before when people have very black and white views about, for example, marriage drummed into them. It’s sad that they can’t take a step back and actually respond to the individuals in the situation. Why favour the idea of marriage over the happiness of someone who is part of your community? I don’t get it.
