The idea of artificial selection is such a misnomer. We are part of nature just like everything else. Everything is natural evolution. Whatever we decide to do is part of the natural cycle as we are not apart from it. Humans are evolving just as everything else in the Cosmos is evolving.
The national parties are bought and owned by the mega donors; USA was founded on this idea of the rich governing the poor.
Until we get money out of politics, BTW it is possible and there are multiple pathways, we will have a corrupt government which fails to respond to the general population.
