– I think the key advance was secularism, or the separation of church and state, and religious freedom and pluralism.  If there is no separation of church and state, it’s illegal to be an atheist, and in effect, it’s illegal to think.  This is a really dangerous and toxic state to be in.  It’s interesting how the Social Justice Warriors are now saying that “diversity of opinion is just white supremacist bullshit“.  Yeah, good luck with that.
