    Fellow Unbelievers,

Patrick Zaki: Egypt jails Christian rights activist on false news charge
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-66236090

Hmmm…Now where have we heard about this before?

Surely something like this could never happen in “The Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave!”

And surely it would never happen with some Mary Poppins kook in the Homeland Security Disinformation Governance Board serenading over omnipresent loud speakers and telescreens to the condemned rotting in their prison cells!

No matter what a person believes or says, no matter how Misinformed/Disinformed/Malingormed, when no demonstrable harm is involved, the proper first response is better, more accurate information, not throwing people in prison, especially prisons in Islamic Egypt, where torture is a known feature and practice!

Free Patrick Zaki and all who seek to freely express thought! And counter bad thought with better thought!

    Fellow Unbelievers,

Correction: “Malinformed”, not “Malingormed”, though “Malinformed” can become “Malingormed” and malingering if unquestioned and unchallenged.

Nice catch, if I do say so myself. 😎

    RichRaelian,

The primary point of this is not that the imprisoned man is a Christian (although, of course, Christians and other non-Muslims are genuinely persecuted in majority-Muslim and officially-Islamic nations.)

Rather, this story shows the danger of governments having the power to fine, imprison, and execute individuals for Misinformation/Disinformation/Malinformation (MDM), especially when it is government who is defining what MDM is.
