Since it is September 1st, I thought it would be good to point out that this is National Preparedness Month in the United States.

Although it is a U.S. Government-declared Month, you shouldn’t need either U.S. Government prompting, Government promping in any Nation, or a designated time of year to observe rational methods of Preparedness for both Natural and Human-made disasters of all sorts.
(In fact, along with a non-existent God, the last thing you should rely upon for Preparedness is Government. Notice on the Wiki page that the Ready.gov links and the FEMA.gov links are either 404 or archived elsewhere. Adjusters International’s links are alive and kicking. They know where their bread is buttered. Really, it should be called Rational Preparedness Month instead of National Preparedness Month.)
Rational Preparedness is especially pertinent to all Secular individuals who hold that there is only one life on Earth and in the Natural Universe. Half of Life is about showing up, and that means being there to show up above all, so Rational Preparedness against anything that would threaten and end that life is key.
Here’s hoping that everyone on this Forum everywhere is staying safe, come whatever may come. And I also thought here would also be a good place to share your thoughts and practices on Rational Preparedness.
