The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has now become the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression. Same acronym of FIRE, same mission, only they have expanded their mission beyond campus speech codes to all of our society and culture.
Free-speech group will spend millions to promote First Amendment cases

This is wonderful news for all who espouse dissenting thoughts (such as us Atheists and Secularists, depending on your locale) and for the on-going Culture Wars wherever expression is involved, including the possible free expression implications of the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
Chin up, folks. We have a new, repurpoesd ally to help with “eternal vigilance.”
