This handsome, attractive, articulate black man could be the GOP’s Obama. A populist who will not do anything to undo any of the harm done by Trump and then by his congressional cohorts but will attack the Democrats on populist culture war grounds.
This man will push the right buttons for many GOPers losing faith in Trump a well as right-leaning independents. He will make ending abortion be about “saving innocent lives” and he will not be pushing agendas that have not captured the imagination of the American electorate. For example, he will not be pushing the importance of pronouns or giving underage kids the right to opt for sex change operations without telling or without the consent of their parents.
It’s hard to see how Trump could attack him with insults the way he is insulting Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.

My reply to Tim Scott is that, yes, it’s wonderful that you came out of poverty and more Citizens can do the same if Government keeps it’s tentacles off the economy. But the individual minds of your fellow Citizens are their own churches and their individual bodies are their own temples and Government needs to keep the tentacles off here too.
