In recent regular wars (not insurrections, police actions, revolutions, etc.), artillery has taken more lives than any other instrument of war. However, once again, Ukraine has changed war. With a drone which can cost less than a single artillery shell, a drone operator can take out a multi-million dollar artillery weapon.
