Of my top 5 favourite books…three deal intimately with religion. Cain by Saramago and Cats Cradle by Vonnegut should be mandatory reading for atheists. The 100 year old man who climbed out the window also has some epic moments of helarious religious ridicule. My other two in the top five which dont mention religion atr all are Matilda by the ultimate humanist writer and greatest children’s author ever Roald Dahl. It should be mandatory reading for s all students…and the book Beat the Reaper by Josh Bazell which has about the most thrilling and grissly ending ever (on the last page I putf the book down for a few days before I could finish the last few horrid paragraphs).
