Getting ready for the move down to Georgia with my cat. Going to be drugging her to keep her calm. She is a Maine Coon and very much a narcissist. She took a swipe at our dog because I dared feed the dog first.

  Did you make the move? I drove from Cleveland to Portland, OR with my cat in a cage next to me. No sedatives. She just slept most of the day just like she does at home. She actually seemed to enjoy the evenings in the hotels, sitting in the windows looking at the goings on outside.
  
  I was torn between putting her in cargo as I flew across the country, hiring one of those pet transport services, or driving. I talked to my vet and he said, “Do you really want your kitty in someone else’s hands while you travel?” That did it. I went out, bought a large cage, and took her with me, and I will never regret it. In fact, that trip includes some of the happiest days of my life.
