    Nay sayers have always pointed to the Western Wall in Jerusalem as evidence that the prophesy “ not one stone shall remain upon another” has not been fulfilled and thus the book can’t be true. And frankly this was a strong point.  But now there is strong evidence that the Temple was located 600 ft away down hill from what is now identified as Antonio’s fortress thus conforming to the account of Flavius Josephus, long scorned as exaggerating in his account. Recently the city of David has been unearthed, now posited as the site of the Temple and indeed the Temple has been razed below its very foundation. But now the prophecy of the actual Jerusalem shaking off its dust is happening before our eyes.</p>

    LOL, Anionio’d fortress was situated 600 feet from the temple uphill so that the Roman Legión housed there can observe the actual  Temple Mount for disturbances. It was connected by a colonnade for rapid deployment, According  to Josephus a battle was waged there as Titus the commander observed. He later became Emperor appointing Josephus as the Empire’s historian.  Antonio’s fortress was a city bigger than the city of David. It was like a palace complete with market places and brothels for the 6000 strong Legion. The wall of the fortress was slightly trapezoidal but sat on an area comparable to other Roman fortresses housing a Legion.Proof positive is that the pool of Siloam and the Gihon spring have been located in the city of David, the water source of the Temple, which once gushed 450 ft in Temple times and fed the Pool of Siloam where the priest were purified.

    OK, I had heard of it as The Antonia fortress which I think was named after Mark Anthony. How would it bring peace to Israel’s neighbors? They did not invent their version of the god Allah until about 500 years later.

    I’m not doing anything to dispel the rumor that engineers can’t spell or have poor diction and grammar. Yes. It’s Antonia fortress. If the Jews tore down the dome of the Rock and built it at the misidentified site, it would the prelude to war.
