Here is a question for you Simon and this may seem like it is out of left field but i began (and stopped) writing a novel in which aliens say they know the answer. They require each cognitively sound adult to decide whether god(s) or no on pain of execution for a wrong answer.
Simon if you had to say one way or the other would you flip a coin? Is it truly a 50/50 proposition? How would you decide and assume that aliens have the answer.
If I had to say one way or another, I’d say no, God doesn’t exist. But that’s because I’m an atheist. However, I might still have doubts that standard atheism is true (the same goes for standard monotheistic religion).
