I started this group because once I got a cat I started studying them and learning about them and along the way I discovered that the domestic cat is far more remarkable than people give it credit for. More intelligent in some respects than dogs, they are actually still wild. Almost any house cat, if it finds itself abandoned or lost, can quickly set up shop hunting and reproducing. In other words, cats never really got domesticated. They don’t live with us because they are fairly lost without us, like dogs, but because they choose to.
