https://medium.com/illumination/calling-white-people-caucasian-is-unconsciously-supporting-white-supremacy-85aed93c4dcc This what I hate most about translucent humans calling themselves white or caucasian and most don’t even know how this got coined. First of all there’s no separate group of humans living on earth today especially based on skin colors this is the most sinister brainwashing and repeating the taxonomies of race science. The only time pale skin was available is before we became bipeds is before we separated from our cousin the chimpanzee we had pale skin underneath our hair, afterwards when we began to walk upright and we started losing our body hair and our skin became exposed to the deadly UV-Radiations from the sun our bodies adapted or evolved to interact with the sun and we became dark skin humans and this was the way for all hominids, just in case you don’t know, this is what natural selection really means.

I did not know about that Blumenbach and his “scientific” classification. Europeans may have rejected the classification cuz they looked down on people from that region and Americans were too ignorant to know since they can’t find anything on a map or globe. (little joke there i think?) But i reject the author’s point that it is a term that unconsciously perpetuates racism. Unless and until people know its origins it is just a word. I remember recoiling speaking to a Jamaican who used the term Picney which was obviously derived from picaninny which of course was used by slave holders and Whites in general as a derogatory term for Black children. She told me it is used in Jamaica extensively and she did not think anybody knew its usage. So i thought okay then it does not matter and it is not an issue. I could see a time where sufficient awareness perhaps through CRT makes it uncomfortable. At that point it ought to be jettisoned.
POC, people of color slaps you in the face with racism. It is a term that harkens to a time when racism was overt and celebrated. I do think it helps perpetuate racism unconsciously.
If not Black and White-what then?
My feeling is history ought to be described as accurately as possible. But it seems to me that whoever has power abuses it. No doubt ideology religiously and politically borne is the fuel for exploitation. But hatred seems to me to be a response that is counterproductive. I suppose it is not something one chooses. Ya hate or ya do not hate.
Ya know another consideration based upon a point you have driven home with a great big hammer is that race is BS. We are all one species and either one race or no races. So singling out a group like Europeans is contrary to the all are one narrative. I said it before and i will say it again. Whoever wields the power is the victimizer.
