    My parents never engaged in conversation. I seldom spoke and at 35 married a woman who for differenct reasons seldom spoke. We chose childlessness. My mom died when I was 38 and at her funeral I cried. I didn’t know who she was. My dad died ten 10 years later and I began to understand tragedy.
