    Fellow Unbelievers:

After much watching and enjoyment, I figure this Forum needs a Mystery Science Theater 3000 thread. The show’s riffed and parodied subject matter in the movies and the host segments shares much with the subjects in this Forum!

It’s hard to think of a good place to start, but this bit sums up what we do every day both as Unbelievers and human beings in general:

Here is more tampering in God’s (and the Void’s) domain by the show cast:

Here’s me when I grow up, hopefully in triple-digit years. Also shows a precursor of Amazon and GrubHub:

Mister Gaskins of The Brute Man and Eullabelle of The Horror of Party Beach would make a great curmudgeonly couple and he could refute and allay her fears, though sadly at that time, they would have had to creep around:

This asshole hates the cast of MST3K! Maybe Andy Ogles needs to have no place in the USA instead!

Pop-Up Video Factoid few people know: MST3K had TV’s first same-sex marriage (albeit between sapient robots instead of humans.)

MST3K was an early exposer of the absurdities of Revisionist History:

They also taught about the insidious use of repetition in spreading a narrative

Pseudogeology, Pseudopaleontology, Pseudoarcheology, and Pseudoanthropology all meet in this classic:

The Mole People also exhibited the horrors of compulsory worship during Pearl’s “Lawgiver Daze” plus Crow and Tom demonstrate how to correctly respond to a proponent of Pseudoscience when Mike went “down. down, down” the rabbit hole. Tom makes musical folklore of a grim past event. Crow also exhibited paradolia with his self-made “artifacts” and Mike deals with his former delusions by shedding light upon them.

The following is all meant in good fun for Pride Month. If it pisses off both the Woke Left and the Based Right, and it encouraged great future musicians, it is in the Goldilocks Spot as far as I’m concerned:

MST3K not only foreshadowed by nearly 30 years the online debates of today about sex and gender, but did it with all the order of an Oxford Debate, without cancel culture or censorship, and without the cacophony found on The Piers Morgan’s show:

I’m a big fan of mystery science theater myself.

A note of familiarity in what many reviewers call the worst movie ever made?
