This could be on HumanProgress.org as an indicator of how far we’ve come in 30 years:

And this could be an indicator of how much further we have to go:

Oh well. Maybe the sauce will help James Talarico gulp down his tofu brisket after saying grace to his multi-gendered God.😁

But the passing of the Dark Ages doesn’t guarantee against future Dark Ages:

Moving beyond the limits of today is not just for the human species. It goes for poultry as well. Richard Dawkins would get his biggest laugh at 5:40-6:45. Trigger Warning–This entire short is guaranteed traumatic for PETA freaks:

True story: Prior to the content of the video above, chicken was not long ago considered a luxury meat. Not a lotta people know that, but thanks to HumanProgress.org now you do!:

Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot sing a love song to a more grounded relative of the chicken. I’m sure Charles Darwin sang a similar operatic ouvre to Tibby’s bigger, older kin on Galapagos Island.

I wonder if this was ever a problem for Carl Sagan or Neil DeGrasse Tyson?

Well, here we see the consequences of Pseudo-Astronomy and Astrology. Crow must have got a hold of some Velikovsky and cosmic weed to think that planetary names and movements have anything to do with gastrological functions on Earth. And that’s not to mention Tom’s many category mistakes and mismeasurements:

    Fellow Unbelievers:

I really should have begun the thread with this video, where Fellow Unbeliever Penn Gillette does a Comedy Central Documentary on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Watch this less-than-30-minute video and you too can be one of “the right people” who “will get it.”

Mystery Science Theater 3000 also has cast members in its history who are Fellow Unbelievers, but more on that in another post.

    Fellow Unbelievers:

Bobby Brainworm and MAHA like to speak of “clean food,” but given that they don’t believe in The Germ Theory of Disease, their notion of “clean” is quite suspect.

Even before MAHA, I encountered a fast food worker who actually said: “God made dirt, and dirt don’t hurt” in reference to food he dropped on the floor.

Fortunately, MST3K presented this short, with commentary even these benighted minds can appreciate:

    Fellow Unbelievers:

Before cheering MAHA’s campaign against “Ultra-Processed Foods,” remember that humane slaughter and cooking are processes too.

The Mad Scientists remind us this by showing what life would be like without these practices of civilization and hygiene:

If Bobby Brainworm boosts this franchise, he’ll have to add New World Screwworms to the menu if Texas ranchers can’t control the screwworms with sterile flies, an innovation of the science that is no longer popular in MAGA country.

No matter how far into the Universe we go, some things will never be relational, at least on musical tastes:

The inhabitants of the Satellite Of Love came in all sizes and Mystery Science Theater 3000 was hip to the potentials wonderous and wacky of Nanotechnology:

One thing they didn’t foresee was Bitcoin. Here’s where Mike, The Destroyer of Worlds could have used some:
