Apparently, it took a horrendous president to wake up the American public. What Trump is against is becoming popular, and what he is for is becoming unpopular. To be snarky: Wow! Incredible!

Demo women were entitled to a woman president, but Hillary didn’t engage voters as entusiastically as Sanders (or  Trump) did.

A failing Demo Party lost and Trump might motivate Demos to change our ways.

The Trump presidency is doing two things particularly well.

    1. His horrific behaviour is motivating the young to understand and engage with politics even if just to resist.  They are far more likely to vote going forward.

2.. He is putting the checks and balances in the structure of the American system to test – paving the way for potential future reform and improvement.

He sure seems tenacious about working many of his campaign promises….I just read something about Trump considering mounting solar panels on the Mexico wall…wow…all over the map.

It would be interesting to see how they did these polls.

I’m still in disbelief that we are still defending him and giving him the benefit of the doubt. It amazes me how stupid people really are.

Good point! Obama put us to sleep. We all trusted that handsome, articulate man. He was able to blind us to the ugly truths.
The spite of Trump brings all of the shady Obama shit to light and the people finally recognize the problem is not Left vs Right but Rich vs Not Rich.

So Kushner released some damning emails, saying something like “to be open and honest”. There is still some hope!

Although that comment about being open and honest worries me. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re dreaming up a Twin Towers kind of attack to stay in business… they act so righteous and unapologetic about everything.

Everything else I wanted to add here is even more cynical, so I’ll just leave it there.

In the meantime, though, immigrant families are being ripped apart, rights for women and LGBTQ people are being decimated, he’s stacking the courts with right-wing theocrats – and those are lifetime appointments. He has done damage to our standing in the world that will last a generation. Neo-Nazis and racists are running amok. People are actually getting killed (see the men killed in Portland for protecting two teen girls from an anti-Muslim abuser on a train).

Also, if his voter suppression commission succeeds, we’ll never have another free and fair election.

This so-called “presidency” could very well ruin this nation forever, and taking basic rights away from millions could become a permanent thing.
