Last night, Armin Navabi of Atheist Republic had an episode after they caught Charlie Kirk’s murderer where Armin was going through Internet postings about the murder and fact-checking claims about it. Very instructive for dealing with any issue where facts are in question:

For instance, Armin refuted many rumors when he confirmed that the murderer was not a Nick Fuentez Groyper because the murderer had a Trans roommate lover.

Armin confirmed the murderer was not MAGA by voter registration records, which revealed two persons with the murderers name, one registered Republican, and the murderer was unaffiliated. Though the murderer’s family was strongly MAGA, this, of course, means nothing.

Armin confirmed the Antifa connection by the inscriptions on the ammo with known Antifa sentiments.

Armin also confirmed that some quotes attributed to Charlie Kirk were not made in full context, so while still disagreeable, he may not have been as extreme as characterized.

It’s always best to go where the evidence leads.

Reg and Fellow Unbelievers,

Two things that are not too soon to say is that both faulty arguments are not grounds for murder, and that Charlie Kirk made faulty arguments when he claimed that it takes more faith to be an Atheist that a Theist. By the definition of the words “Atheism” and “Faith” that is simply not true.

Also, any argument he made based on the veracity and consistency of The Holly Bible was faulty.

It’s a shame his life was cut short before someone could have shown him.

Just about everyone outside China underestimates China.  They added about 357GW of wind and solar capacity in 2024. The total in the EU was about 80GW and the USA, a maximum of 60GW. China will probably be further ahead this year, around the 500GW mark. Yes, they are still investing in coal but have defined targets to phase it out in the long run. They hope to meet any demand increases with solar and wind power. Wind and solar capacity combined already overtook coal (thermal power) capacity in China in early 2025 and clean generation exceeded demand growth, leading to a fall in fossil-fuel generation in the same period.

China and India would still be the biggest Carbon belchers on the Planet just by sheer dint of their numbers and the resources needed to support them. I remember a CNN report in the late Nineties of a black cloud on the Sino-Indian border that killed hundreds of thousands in a single sweep. I seriously doubt they’ve got rid of that much pollution since then.

Also, Red China is still an authoritarian economy with tight controls over economic data and strong incentive to bend it to please. How much of the data they release outside The Middle Kingdom is real?
