This is probably my last post as many on this site are not into true exploration of what and why they believe/do/say— The reason I quote experts is not that I don’t understand it or can’t explain it– it’s simply better to have a subject matter expert quote. I’ve been quoted in my field Accounting/Finance/Statistics.
Subject today is Molecular Biology and how it’s impossible that amino acids and proteins just happen to come into existence given the strict manner in which they must absolutely line-up to form various proteins sometimes 200-1000 links long. Think of DNA and RNA too.

What I see is those in 2018 who still believe in evolution do so, not because of science, but despite the overwhelming evidence that disproves evolution over and over again. It’s more of a religion based on myths and dogmas. You may continue in your atheism but you may not logically or reasonably point to “science” to back up your belief.

Robert Shapiro, a professor of chemistry at New York University and a DNA expert, calculated the probability of the coincidental formation of the 2000 types of proteins found in a single bacterium (There are 200,000 different types of proteins in a human cell.) The number that was found was 1 over 1040000.244 (This is an incredible number obtained by putting 40,000 zeros after the 1)

A professor of applied mathematics and astronomy from University College Cardiff, Wales, Chandra Wickramasinghe, comments:

The likelihood of the spontaneous formation of life from inanimate matter is one to a number with 40,000 noughts after it… It is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primeval soup, neither on this planet nor on any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence.245

Sir Fred Hoyle comments on these implausible numbers:

Indeed, such a theory (that life was assembled by an intelligence) is so obvious that one wonders why it is not widely accepted as being self-evident. The reasons are psychological rather than scientific.246

An article published in the January 1999 issue of Science News revealed that no explanation had yet been found for how amino acids could turn into proteins:

….no one has ever satisfactorily explained how the widely distributed ingredients linked up into proteins. Presumed conditions of primordial Earth would have driven the amino acids toward lonely isolation.247

    • If I bother reading this…am I going to see anything new or yet more recycled nonsense for the fifth time? Am I going to see you Earl answering any of our questions or simply ignoring every single one of them? Bye Earl. Come back when you’re ready to respect the users of this community and actually discuss evolution.

      • Davis, I like you and Simon though I’ve never met you. I do respect the users and I try my best to give as well as understand what you all are saying. May I ask this of you:
What percentage of atheists (that you’re aware of) also believe in the theory of evolution? I hazard there is a strong correlation to the two; am I close? The science speaks for itself and even people like Rickard Dawkins and other eminent scientist have real problems with this theory. Another question: When the magazine OMNI was around I used to read it a lot. It’s cover was always some spectrum or range of things. And in real life there are definitely ranges in many things, but there can’t be in ethics or character. I’m not a picky eater so while others I’m with complain about the food, I say well it’s within the range. Some say lying isn’t always bad, really? To me lying is stealing too. The book “1000 Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini, who also wrote the “Kite Runner” talked about how lying stole his heart. Back in 2007 when I read these two books I never really thought of it that way, but it’s true. If my wife lies to me then she has stolen my trust. I’m in the 3rd quarter of life (58) and 4th quarter is coming up (quarter being every 20 years). When I get shit upon do I do to them as they did to me? I used to, but what does it profit me or you to treat “evil with evil”. It doesn’t. There is a linkage between what someone believes and how they act. If every thing is a “shade of grey” what then? The Eternal allowed for those who killed another by accident (had refuge cities) but allowed the family an eye for an eye for those who “lied in wait” to kill. So how about the low IQ protestors at the Senate Confirmation hearing? They have no couth, no civility, no honor, there is a time and place for all things. I will never be able to rest my head on the pillow at night satisfied with myself as I probably could have said something better or not said anything at all; or done more or done nothing at all. I learn every day and I’m sure you guys do to. I mean no offense. All I can offer is that look at all the evidence as much as reasonably possible then go from there.

        • No you don’t respect anyone here Earl. And no I don’t like you because you blab shit we know far more about than you, and ignore us when we tear down your arguments. YOU STILL HAVEN’T ANSWERED A QUESTION OF OURS! You don’t have a flake of respect for the users here, your goal is to ask misleading false underhanded questions to sow doubt in something which again, we know far more about than you. I’d be quite pleased if you f**ked off already…that or start respecting users AND ANSWERING PEOPLE’S F**KING QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

          • I’m sorry where are the questions?

            • Pathetic! You’re void of any intellectual integrity. Go away troll.

            • Wow, you do get upset when your whole world view is found pathetic, wanting in evidence, and has no credence.
I will most assuredly answer each and every question asked with an honest and succinct answer by Tuesday morning. Not sure what you mean by “troll” I don’t live under a bridge with long hair and scaring people. Sorry Simon but one of the doctrines of evolution is that life just spontaneously came into being with out thought or purpose. Witness Harold F Blum prominent evolutionist scientist states, “The spontaneous formation of a polypeptide of the size of the smallest known proteins seems beyond all probability.” Evolutionist claim that molecular evolution took place over a very long period of time. This is part and parcel of the whole theory. Professor of chemistry, Perry Reeves, answers- When one examines the vast number of possible structures that could result from a simple random combination of amino acids in an evaporating primordial pond, it is mind-boggling to believe that life could have originated in this way. It is more plausible that a Great Builder with a master plan would be required for such a task.” His words, not mine. A professor of applied mathematics and astronomy from the University College Cardiff, Wales, Chandra Wickramasinghe, comments, “The likelihood of the spontaneous formation of life from inanimate matter is one to a number with 40,000 noughts after it…it is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primordial soup, neither on this planet nor any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence.”
First one asked and answered. You can scream and shout, but evolution is wanting in facts every single step of the way. Why are you so scared to admit to yourself that the Universe, Sun, moon, planets, and Earth and all that is in it was created and fashioned?? Could it be you wish there is no creator so you can do and say whatever you want; such as childishly cussing me out. Every question will be answered by Tuesday- Regards

            • Earle. Would you please, for the love of your non-existent God, just f*ck off already?

    • All of those things you are talking about are biogenesis – the beginning of life – rather than evolution. Evolution says nothing about the beginning of life, just about how it has developed since the beginning.
