Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months ago We should probably move our edged weapons discussion away from the gun control discussion. This very short video makes plain what’s wrong with defense against knife defenses taught by self-defense or martial arts instructors. It does so by showing you what a real knife attack is likely to be like. Situation hopeless. Stay away from weird people who seem to have an attitude and might be packing a knife.
If something like that can happen like that, imagine it happening even less expectedly, or from behind.
Were I to attack someone with a knife (an unimaginable circumstance), I’d certainly follow the advice to use it before the other guy knows you have it. To use it decisively and to use it until the other guy is 100% neutralized.
