I found this article:
Sex And Aural Energy: How You Share Your Sacred Energy With Others
Do you think there is any truth to it?

jakelafortParticipantNope, why and cuz!
Demand evidence. In any case in which an author asserts facts not in evidence you ought to demand evidence. Not only are there auras and energies but there is a way to proceed to enhance one’s own. The analogies to support the idea are specious. It is a cheap parlor trick.

ParticipantOk @jakelafort but you still didn’t really answer my question lol

StregaModeratorShitty relationships with shitty people can bring you down. Great relationships with lovely people can elevate your mood. The degree of intimacy in the relationship is relative to the degree of depression or elation. (That is what the article says, with wobbly aura colors and magic language.)
We know this already, which is why it seems to make sense. However, the mystic language around it does not equally make sense simply by association.
Nice people make you feel good. Shitty people make you feel bad. Don’t have sex with shitty people.

PopeBeanieModeratorI didn’t read the full article with my tiny screen, but partly because of the writer’s meta-natural constructions we’re expected to accept as if they are common sense. Ridiculous ads for horoscope fans, metaphysical spins on words like energy, vibration… the usual stuff that any reader can apply their own meta-analysis to and acceptance of, no matter how ambiguous. Just add your own magnets, crystals, and anecdotal spice to it. Yet…
It’s a human trait to be able to think symbolically, metaphorically, and with intention to absorb or perceive “reality” in wider than logical and purely physical terms, even when such thinking produces fantasy. Some intuition and science fiction enhance our dreams, and indeed spur human innovation in real science.
E.g. I think auras can be “real” in the same sense that many synesthetes perceive certain colors when they recognize certain letters, numbers, or sounds, due to parts of our brains that evolved so quickly (say, during our lingual and empathic evolution) that a bit of accidental cross-wiring is inevitable in some. Our brains maintain 3-D maps in our visual (and other) areas, interpolating the proximate space that surrounds other objects and beings, and it’s not far-fetched to hypothesize that people seeing auras are truly experiencing color perception (that they might call “energy”) in the space surrounding other living bodies, especially that space surrounding the faces and heads of other humans. Even animals can often read or intuit another animal’s mood and intention. Preternaturally accurate perception of, inference from, and learning about other people’s emotions and intentions raise our pack consciousness and actions far above most other animals.
The thoughts and feelings we have during close encounters and touch are appropriately heightened above those of plain old everyday logical thoughts and physical feelings, because we are a supremely socially empowered (and socially affected) species. (For better and for worse, and not to mention sexual encounters.) “Aural energy” is perhaps one of the most interesting of seemingly-mystical phenomena, but it’s not the only example of interesting, incidental or emergent psycho-social constructs of human psyche. I think it’s a kind of “common sense” that most of us can probably relate to — albeit ambiguously identifiable within metaphors — and is common fodder for skeptics.

StregaModeratorOnly if you breathe out through your ears. It is aural energy after all.
