It’s what riles me. That so many don’t think fully for themselves. Just makes me mad.
I gave people the benefit of the doubt for decades, until I finally realized that most of them really believe in myths of one denomination or another. By then it was too late to be mad at them, because I also realized that every culture’s kids grow up to believe in whatever the culture’s traditions have been for hundreds or thousands of years. I.e., it’s a problem with human nature we’re stuck having to deal with.
I really shouldn’t be mad. Change takes time. I see people as brainwashed by parents, but how far does it go back? Until religion and death were the only choices?
