I think I would prefer it to be Cthulhu as Yahweh demands too much credit. “I made that and that and that too”. Yeah ain’t you just so modest Yahweh. And Cthulhu does not expect me to sacrifice a goat when asking for a favor. At least I think Yahweh does or else I have been wasting my time!
There is yet another lesson to be drawn from Mount St. Helens, especially from the Wikipedia site on the erruption on May 18, 1980:
Approximately 57 deaths, about $1.1 billion in property damage (or $3.5 billion today, adjusted for inflation); caused a collapse of the volcano’s northern flank, deposited ash in 11 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces.
The long timescales that geologists assign to the erosion of deep canyons are erroneous. Deep canyons can and do form very rapidly. This includes the Grand Canyon of Arizona—not long after the Noachian flood.
I expected their reliance on pseudo-gelology to make their case, but “Noachian flood”? That is a hilarious attempt to sound like they’re speaking with scientific authority.
