I was not referring to the Nazis of the 30s and 40s. Rather the neo nazis and their ilk in good ole USA.
The worst of the right v worst of the left. Left at this point is worse than right. Even so they are mirror images
of each other.

But if we make that comparison it has similarities. Nazis were prime time in their identity politics. There
was a very well laid out hierarchy from most to least desirable. Nazis spread their lies or so called blood libel
about Jews some of which has been incorporated into contemporary far left lies. Nazis were not original in their mythology and denunciations. Catholic Church and Islam were there first and got the ball rolling. All over Europe and eastern Europe
the common mindless folks (nothing has changed as the overwhelming number of humans are incapable of thinking critically
about their ideologies) believed and acted on centuries old lies. The mind viruses were directly responsible for the hatred and behavior all over Europe. I don’t know the figures but ordinary folks carried out a great many of the murders of Jews.

Even with so much precedent and such an admirable backdrop in humanism the progressive morons manage to fuck things upside down to such a degree as to make reality less credible than fiction. The lefties are giving the respun and new spin libel the veneer of rationalism. (I just read how in Canada a Muslim who was convicted of terrorism in killing Jews in Europe is hired to teach ethics at a canadian university. And a number of terrrorists are teaching at Canadian and Murican schools. Just fucking brilliant.)

In fact these obvious BS narratives accusing Jews/Israel of sins of the west and of perpetrating the sins visited on Jews is thinner than gossamer wings on a hummingbird. But that does not stop the lefties world over from gobbling it up like it is high quality vanilla ice cream with high grade hot fudge over a heated brownie. Antisemitism is going wild all over the glob. Yeah glob not globe.

The identity politics of the left is so superficial and inconsistent with reality. I don’t play those games. I don’t think of Palestinians as evil. Instead i see Palestinians as humans are everywhere swept up by an ideological current that they are incapable of fighting. The far left has joined Islamists in supporting a resistance that results in the futile expression of humanity and its currents. What chance do Palestinians have in that environment in which murdering Jews and ending Israel is the acme of life? The lefties all over the glob have funded UNWRA schools that are no more or less than Hamas schools. They know it too. It is not hidden. When the news came out that those schools were taught by Hamas there was no outcry. No protests.

As long as the mind virus spews forth like cum from a 14 yr old boy reacting to a hot girl nothing will change. Jew hate fuels all of the BS in the middle east. And having caused the mind cum of the left to drench the lefties all over the globe it is a goddamn good thing there is a Jewish state before the next never again.

And of course the progressives ought to show how humans the world over are essentially the same. The oppressors are the ones with power. The oppressed are the ones without. Yea there may be minor differences between populations but on balance we are all pretty much same ugly apes and acted upon from without in terms of our beliefs and ethics. The real problems of the world should be addressed. Let me stop cuz it is just a waste of time…

I think underneath the big political rift in the US, there is a growing educational divide. Those without an economically useful tech degree really got hit harder by “globalization” and the offshoring of manufacturing. Everyone is not for college, there are all sorts of avenues to success that we don’t even explore. Hell, I don’t even think they have shop class anymore.

When they look at the detailed election results, I bet Harris got the most college grad votes and Trump got the most high-school grad or less votes.

“Diploma divide” as Robert indicated is hurting Dems. And it is probably an accentuated benefit for democrats when schools are politically left but that benefit aint mean jack if fewer are graduating.

There is a common feeling that you can’t make a decent living without an advanced degree. I have an advanced degree and never got close to as wealthy as a good electrician, carpenter, plumber, elevator mechanic, dental hygienist, or HVAC technician.

And many of these well-paying trade jobs can’t be exported to where labor is cheap. You can’t install or fix my new home HVAC system in China or maintain my apartment building’s elevator system in Mexico, and I don’t want to go to Indonesia to get my teeth cleaned.

You can’t be a dumb ass and be a good carpenter or electrician (and do the books and marketing as well). You can be a dumb ass and sit on a factory line and do the same thing 500 times a day. Therin lies a big problem for some people. However, the apprenticing of young people to learn how to enter these skillful domestic careers is tried and true. High schools could work with businesses to place kids.

Shop class probably went the way of Home Economics or Touch Typing Skills classes. I took Shop and also Touch Typing and Mechanical Drawing. Touch typing is the only one I can say serves me in daily life to any degree.

More than shop class, I’m concerned that kids aren’t being taught geography anymore. Now, I’m not a geographer and there are some fairly obscure—hardly ever in the news—countries, but even with a lot of the lesser-encountered ones, I’d at least know where on a map to start looking. I wouldn’t start trying to locate Iran in Africa or Montenegro in South America.

I don’t know if he still does it, but Jimmy Kimmel did a man on the street bit periodically that was a geography challenge, and while some of it seemed to be a setup or people intentionally acting dumb, I’m sure much of it was for real. People thinking Africa was a country or being unable to identify Italy by just its silhouette, for example.

If we’re not teaching geography in school anymore, what about History? Does the average high school graduate nowadays know diddly-squat about even the broadest outlines of history? Which came first, Egyptian civilization or Rome? Who was Alexander the Great and what did he do? What role did the French play in the American Revolutionary War? Did Napoleon take his armies as far as Egypt? Who was Gandhi and what did he do? Why was Franklin Roosevelt an important President?

Most of us older folks know the answers to those questions and can even supply additional detail, but can today’s high school graduate?
