Tourism is not exactly booming in that region.

So now is the time to visit!

In Gaza you can get a room overlooking the sea for just a decapitated Israeli head and a promise to spit on Jews. In Israel you can get a room in exchange for bagel, lox and cream cheese and your best Jewish impression of “such a deal.”

I don’t mean to confuse anyone with facts particularly if it will cause their juicy narrative to evaporate but the devil made me do it.

On November 29, 1947 the United Nations adopted Resolution 181 (also known as the Partition Resolution) that would divide Great Britain’s former Palestinian mandate into Jewish and Arab states in May 1948 when the British mandate was scheduled to end.

The Arab-Israeli War of 1948 broke out when five Arab nations invaded territory in the former Palestinian mandate immediately following the announcement of the independence of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948. In 1947, and again on May 14, 1948, the United States had offered de facto recognition of the Israeli Provisional Government, but during the war, the United States maintained an arms embargo against all belligerents.

I know the mythology that supports our narratives is more fun than inconvenient facts. So carry on.

    All yours Enco.

I speak backwards. Comes naturally to me. Did not realize it was an unusual thing until i saw a tv show and the moderator announced there was a lady with a very special talent. And she spoke backwards. Crowd applauded. I thought…for what?

    Unseen,

In no Universe compatible with Reason, Logic, and Human Life and Human Flourishing is what Hamas is doing right or just.

A right and just cause must have right and just means of accomplishing it. And simply as a practical matter, I would want as many good and innocent people on my side as possible.

Hamas no more represents a Free Palestine than the Mafia represents Sicilians.

As I said in my post on Sam Harris and war crimes, the purpose of war is to win, and if it takes war crimes to do so, you do war crimes. We just call ours “collateral damage.” If we blow up a car full of schoolchildren because we think there might be “terrorists” in the car…Oops! Collateral damage.

We are in no position to judge Hamas or moralize as if we and Israel represent goodness and light. I explained above how Israel has marginalized and mistreated the Palestinians. I can’t blame some of them for getting off their duffs and doing something about it.

If Israel’s cause is just, then they, by your logic, should have been treating the Palestinians justly.

Netanyahu’s idea of a sick joke: 1.1 million civilians, who have nowhere to go and are trapped, must leave or be obliterated. I guess the idea that there are no innocent Palestinians is a real “thing” for him.

    RichRaelian,

We need a middle eastern Gandhi!

Ghandi wasn’t all great shakes, but that is another thread for another time.

Non-Violent action works best when your enemy has empathy and a conscience that can be hurt upon beholding harm to the innocent. Hamas does not fit that description when it calls for extermination of the Jews in the name of Allah.

Let’s not forget that Raël’s cult compound headquarters is also located in Israel and that Hamas hates all other Unbelievers too.

As much as I may like to razz and riff space alien groupies, I do not want to see you or any innocent person murdered, especially because of illusions about your enemy.

Keep yourself and your loved ones safe!

Hello! As I stated before we still need a middle eastern Gandhi.
