On the book banning front, Florida’s Bill O’Reilly was horrified, after emphatically supporting Florida’s book banning activity, to discover that his own two books are also banned.

Much mockery ensued, with Jeff Tiedrich taking the prize with the following…

The Tyler Thier article on manifestos in Aeon neglected an obvious exception: The Secular Humanist Manifestos I, II, and III. I’ve never heard of any of them being left behind after a murder spree.

There’s really no confusion about Big Papa and the Catholic Church’s position on surrogacy: Whether people have children or not, the Church wants them miserable and racked with guilt whichever way they go.

Bill O’Reilly books were banned!! LOL. I bet they were not even fully colored in yet.  On the Conservative CalendarGate debacle (long read story), I think the Liberals should release one with overly clad women with barely any skin visible!!

I have already had 2 arguments today over my comments to Catholics about the Virgin Mary being the first surrogate mother and now her baby’s representative here on Earth calls such behavior “deplorable”. Any theologians got some advice for me? This is much more than an ecumenical matter!

Here are some added “Heavy Mystery Time” questions to ask Christians of any Denomination:

One, if Jesus really is the Son Of God, why, then does his geneology include that of Joseph? And since Mary and Joseph come fron the line of David, does this make them at very least some distant Kissing Cousins?

And here’s the question guaranteed to rankle Alt-Right/Alt-Light Christians:

If Jesus is the Son Of God, does that make Joseph a cuckold?

Keep a friendly distance when asking and watch the spittle and mouth foam and fur fly!

How CRISPR could yield the next blockbuster crop.

That’s a fascinating story right there!

If it hasn’t happened already, perhaps CRISPR could be sync-ed with AI and get research on plant breeds done even faster, so that companies could create desired breeds and send them to market even faster.

I remember in the halcyon days of the Nineties when people were protesting “Frankenfoods” and claiming that fish genes could be spliced into vegetables and create monstrosities.

At the time, I said: “Bring it on! Splice crawdads with tomatoes and potatoes and spice plants and then you have Instant Gumbo! Just add boiling water!”

LGBTQ Nation has some common misconceptions about Fascism.

One, Fascism is not necessarily Racist and Anti-Semitic. Hitler’s variety was but Mussolini’s and Franco’s versions were not until they made alliances with Hitler.

Two, Fascism is not “Anti-Labor.”. Mussolini’s version of Fascist economy was basically State Syndicalism, where professions and sectors of the economy were organized into worker’s groups, business groups, and farmer’s groups called Syndicates and all under the thumb of the State. It was Public-Private Partnership where those in the State’s favor and working for The State’s goals profit at the expense of independent business, farming, and labor.

Mussolini’s motto was “Everything Within The State. Nothing Against The State. Nothing Outside The State.”

In fact, prior to World War II, Benito Mussolini and Franklin Delano Roosevelt had a mutual admiration thing for each other’s policies, as documented by John T. Flynn in As We Go Marching.. The U.S. has had ever-growing elements of Fascistic economics for quite a while, so Trump is just one of a long line and so is Biden.

Most noteworthy for LGBTQ Nation, a militaristic Fascistic State is not necessarily Anti-LGBTQ. The Greek City-State of Sparta actually encouraged Homosexuality as a means of maintaining group cohesion among the men in the military.

It’s just that with Fascism, the rule for everything, including sex, is “what’s not prohibited is mandatory” and individual preferences and fetishes are subordinate to the whims of The State. LGBTQ+ people who support greater government power do so only to their future peril.
