TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
Nice creche you have there! I recognize Batman The Dark Knight Angel and Deanna Troi and William Riker as Mary and Joseph.
In real life Sci-Fi and comic book realms, I don’t think Bruce Wayne would be a flunkie for JHVH-1, since JHVH-1 let Waybe’s parents get murdered.
And Troi and Riker would not appreciate getting raped and cuckolded by The ‘Q’ Continuum, whether respectively, in reverse, or together! YIKES!
I recognize The Darth Vaders as The Three Kings, but who is the fourth one? Darth Vader is an apt choice for Persian power-brokers who could be quite cruel like Haman. His evil has me all Agag!
And who are the Shepherds, Sheep, and The Little Drummer Boy? Is the brunette Shepherd Jackson Browne, who sang for Peace on Earth against nuclear arms, but couldn’t keep peace in his own house?
And who is Baby Jesus? He looks like Baby Sinclair from the ABC TV show Dinosaurs! Gotta love him!🦖😁
Void Bless Us, Every One! 🌌

TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
Oh wait! There’s no forth Darth Vader. That was part of the wooden creche and paradolia on the part of my bad eyes. I’m getting a new prescription of eyeglasses for the coming New Year!
Speaking of creches, I’ve seen ads for pieces of stone that the vendor claimed came from the creche where Jesus was born. Funny, every creche I’ve seen at City Halls and churches was made of wood.
This probably came from the same boiler-room that sells pieces of wood from the Crucifixion Cross. You could probably build entire neighborhood developments from the whole inventory of stone and splinters.
P .T. Barnum never had it this good.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorOf course not Enco!! There were only 3 wise men!
All con-men hone their act from watching religious charlatans. I once got in trouble in school for trying to sell the holes in Jesus’s hands and feet to the very religious students!!

TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
Thanks for confirming that. I knew something was amiss when I took a second look.
I still can’t guess the other characters. Are they Transformers? Masters of the Universe? Magic The Gathering? Garbage Pail Kids? There’s so much catching up I need to do.

TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
The story from TruthOut on faulty, phony police technology reminds me of this story fresh from my hometown, which is clearly a human problem:
Former Gastonia officer accused of selling drugs, using badge to buy guns
Story by Ken Lemon • 3d
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/former-gastonia-police-officer-arrested-faces-32-felony-charges/ar-AA1lpHmzRemember, with tongue firmly planted in cheek:
Only Gummint officials are trustworthy with firearms!
Only Gummint officials are trustworthy to tell us what we can put into our bodies!
Only Gummint officials who issue licenses can assure good barber styling!
Police brutality and corruption are all just White Supremacy!
Gummint officials have Qualified Immunity and Sovereign Immunity and thus can do no wrong!
And finally, the old stand-by for Totalitarianism:
If ya ain’t got nuthin’ ta hide and ya dindu nuffin, what’s yer problem with unlimited police power?
December 18, 2023 at 12:23 am #51882
Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorI like the Dinosaur vid with Baby Sinclair. I shall add a Gastonia later to my crib for the sweet little baby Jesus to ride around on 🙂
December 18, 2023 at 5:42 pm #51888
TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
Were the Jesus “holes” you sold anything like Krispy Kreme Doughnut Holes, only made with the same consecrated flour as The Host? 😁
The City of Gastonia was not named after the dinosaur, but does share two traits with the extinct great lizard species: It is fossil-frozen in time and has brains the size of chickpeas. 😁
Going further on problems of police tech: How does gunfire detection distinguish between actual gunshots and automobile backfire or a spring-loaded slamming screen door? Would auto engines, airplanes, or helicopters or sonar devices produce audio interference with the detector? And could it detect different calibers of ammo or gunfire with silencers or suppression by a pillow or a plastic soda bottle? And couldn’t echos off of buildings, trees, or mountains misdirect the detector?
And would Microwaves from an oven or something as simple as aluminum foil or aluminum siding in the trailer park interfere with the signal of ankle bracelets, like they do with radar and Wi-Fi smart devices?
These are technical problems which have nothing to do with racial discrimination, but still argue against using these devices as a crutch. If the company marketing this technology couldn’t answer these questions, I say no City or County contracts for them!

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThe City of Gastonia is also in a very nice part of the world. I spend a few weeks each year next door in GA.
December 18, 2023 at 8:58 pm #51901
Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThe holes from Jesus’s hand and feet contain a lot less fat than the holes in a Krispy Kreme doughnut. The hole in those doughnuts is the healthy bit…..as part of a calorie controlled diet, of course! Their most profitable store is 2 miles from me. I have yet to travel there!

jakelafortParticipantDanes are smoking crack with a puss on their face wearing tight pants passing laws upholding the sanctity of the Koran. That is not right smoking crack with a puss on your face wearing tight pants upholding the sanctity of the Koran.
Tolerance of the greatest source of intolerance is bad enough. Free exercise should be the outer limits of protection. But making it criminal to express one’s displeasure with Islam is a criminal matter. Unreal.
Gotta think the rubber band on remand is gonna swing so far right it may never land.

TheEncogitationerParticipantJake,
I see someone is a fan of Kevin Meany:
Which is fitting because the Danes ARE ACTING LIKE A CRAZY PERSON! 😁
When laws do not distinguish between expression and acts, acts of violence become expression and peaceful expression becomes treated as an act of violence. This world is Through The Looking Glass meets Superman’s Bizzarro World meets Porky Pig in Wacky Land and looking for The Last of the Do-Dos:

jakelafortParticipantEnco you nailed it. Didn’t think anyone would get that reference. I did not even know his name. I often read books and can’t even tell ya the author. Watch movies, see the same actors and don’t know their names. That guy annoyed me at first but he is an earwurm and a half and all the worse for a parrot like me.
As to the Danes and their law it is headshakingly stupid. The most important rights of speech are exercised when speaking to power. And when ya consider how stupid progressives are in bending over backwards for Islam it is just more of the same stupidity but while smoking crack with a puss on your face and wearing too tight pants. That is not right.
