Jake:
Thanks for the missing link. Enco.
Cogito ergo Enco.
Well, thanks, but all I did was merely pass along the Atheist Republic link. It’s all that I can do in my position.
Armin and friends are the ones to thank more for doing happy warrior work by monitoring Iran’s uprising for hours at a time. As a Canadian of Iranian descent, Armin must find it both overjoyful and gut-wrenching to watch.
And the Iranian protesters are doing the hardest work by risking their safety and lives to overthrow Islamic tyranny. They are not just doing this only to their benefit, but as a consequence, to the benefit of the U.S. and Israel, the benefit of the Secular West, and really the benefit of human civilization itself.
Do you think Venezuela and icy roads are the main stories causing Iran to be shuffled off to Buffalo? Or would the coverage by be de minimis and missing us even without headline news?
These are worthy stories too, but Iran should get at least equal billing because of tie-ins with Venezuela. The Mullahs in Iran were fellow OPEC members with Chavez and Maduro and the Mullahs had Hezbollah operatives and cartel ties throughout South America. And every anti-Freedom, anti-Enlightenment regime in the world has mutual ties with both Iran and Venezuela.
Sadly, in-depth coverage of Iran is probably lost in all the other 15-minute-fame narratives promoted by broadcast news.
