Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorMAGA Christians worship some false idols at the National Mall. Pastor Mike Johnson spoke directly to the Creator of the Universe. Both of them have some very sinister ideologies.
Religious freedom is a subset of freedom of conscience. A healthy separation of church and state is key to ensuring those freedoms.
The dark and dangerous world of faith healing.
The faithless aren’t a footnote.
Women’s Blasphemy and the State. Blasphemy may be a victimless ‘crime,’ but laws against it create countless victims.
World of Woo: David Geier at the HSS.
Environment: Heatwaves are now everyday disasters.
The end of the road for Dr. Disgrace.
There is a dragon in my garage.
Roughly one hundred billion-plus Homo sapiens have ever been born; the living population today is around 7% of that total.
Sunday Book Club: The Future of Free Speech (see also first video).
Some photographs taken last week.
While you are waiting for the kettle to boil……
Coffee Break Videos: The new war on Free Speech. What happens when you try to catch the universe lying with Lisa Randall? These Christian beliefs make ZERO sense.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorHave a great week! Too sunny to be be indoors today so the post is a bit shorter that normal.
A person has dignity, legal protection, bodily safety, freedom of conscience, and freedom of expression. A belief has no skin to bruise, no liberty to imprison, no mouth to silence, and no claim to immunity from scrutiny.
You have rights; your beliefs do not.

jakelafortParticipant“You have rights; your beliefs do not.”
If only…
Humanists ought to be concerned about humans regardless of their national origin, ancestry or religion. What can we do to promote individual freedoms and rights? How do we protect people? Accident of one’s birth into some Islamic hell hole or Hindu or fill in the blank should not be the reason that a precious life is denied self actualization or a decent life.
Instead it is the apotheosis of beliefs. Faith is extolled as an unassailable good. Cultural relativism is promulgated to deny individuals their rights . Siding with the power against individuals flourishing is what has occurred. Humans suffering as a result of the elevation of beliefs and the power of the pushers of beliefs are denied basic humans freedoms and rights. Even if a victim is born in or lives in a western nation that quite naturally has basic freedoms and rights their inclusion within the oppressive power structure is often sufficient to deny those rights.
Concept of Islamophobia is weaponized to shield beliefs by commingling the believer and belief. To attack one is to attack the other. It is the one exception to freedom of speech in terms of critique of religious beliefs and practices. It is convenient for a lefty ideology that tells us White Europeans are inherently evil and indigenous groups are inherently good. The oppressor/oppressed concept is too stupid to believe. And so is the identity of good and bad guys. I won’t elaborate because i think we all understand how contrary to history it is.
So Islam gets not only a pass but a big boost from the far left in the west. The Islamists have utilized their alliance with lefties along with propaganda and cash to infiltrate our universities producing monocultures. Politically they are also making inroads. Having undergone the indoctrination there will be millions of graduates who carry irrational hatred and stupid beliefs throughout their lives. And that will have terrible consequences. Free speech denied and conformity demanded.
Having engendered an Islamist friendly culture it has concomitantly fostered Jew hatred. Centuries of Jew hatred, persecution and apartheid for Jews, Soviet propaganda, Islamic beliefs and practices against Jews have led to an endless barrage against state of israel and en environment in west where it is anywhere from uncomfortable to dangerous to be Jewish. Literally no other minority group could be subjected to what Jews are. The very group that was subjected to the horrors of the west are charged as the perpetrators. Try to bring up the differences in how Israel operates and other nations and whataboutism is weaponized to prevent the comparison and hypocrisy.
A Jew must repudiate zionism and mouth the selfsame BS narratives to even be in the leftie’s social group. No parallel concept to Zionism for any groups. Higher standards. Double standards. Wake of WW2 and tens of millions displaced including more Jews from middle east than Arabs in what became Israel. Oh but the nakba! Partition of India and creation of Pakistan resulted in up to 2 million dead. Who is questioning the legitimacy of that state?
A fixation and obssession with all things Jewish and Israeli. A tiny group of people and yet the racism is simply over the top. And even a half wit who knows very little about history ought to know that Jews are history’s scapegoats and have paid the ultimate price. Therefore when calumniated extra skepticism ought to be in play. But no same shit, different clothing and it is building up not diminishing. Remember not long ago and it is continuing the bs about “i don’t hate Jews i just hate Zioinists or Nettanyahu.” Instead it is guilt by association. Epstien? It is a stain on all Jews. Had it been some English guy it would have caused no such guilt by association.
Group think reigns sureme in universities where it ought to be nearly inexistent. So called intellectuals are shit. Absolute garbage. And those who realize how wrong it all is are not sticking their necks out. There are thankfully some exceptions.
One of the problems is the tendency to look at all behavior as though it were a product of free will. You evil so and so chose to be a Nazi/Conquistador/Colonizer/Slave trader etc. And having chosen those paths we condemn you!
Reality is as i have indicated here repeatedly the vast majority are swept up by the contemporary rivers of belief. Notice how much more compatible a realistic evaluation of human nature and history are with humanism than lefty ideology. When we stop positing a preexisting human stain (original sin writ modern) we start to perceive victimhood not based on identity but based on practices.

Seriously though i gotta listen to that one again.

That woman’s not “locally real”, including her semi-bull frog voice. I was waiting for her to jump out of her lock box in the demolished building, grab her top hat and cane, and start singing “Hello, My Baby”, “The Michigan Rag”, “Come Back To Erin”, and “Figaro.”

If all you read is the headline below, and you were an anti-nuke Luddite, you might think that radiation created these “Super Pigs.”.
As you get into the story, though, you find this could happen anywhere that livestock and wildlife meet and are sufficiently alike genetically to produce fertile offspring. This could have happened in the North Carolina mountains post-Hurricane Helene as well, many miles from any nuclear reactor:
Rapidly reproducing mutant ‘super pigs’ found in Fukushima nuclear disaster zone
DNA analysis found Fukushima pig-boar hybrids inherited rapid breeding traits after nuclear incident.

Bobby Brainworm looks like he would be quite at home shipwrecked on Malta with the Apostle Paul or in certain churches of Appalachia:
He also hasn’t heard that even non-poisonous snakes can give Tetanus with their bites. Take care of yourself folks. The cavalry is not coming.

Not to be outdone by anyone else, now he wrangled with a rattlesnake.
Some suspect this was set-up in advance but either way, this helps confirm my ideological prognosis of RFK Jr:
He is not a Eugenicist as some have pronounced. A Eugenicist who held his own genes as “Superior” would not consciously try to remove himself from the gene pool. Instead, RFK Jr. is a Health Nihilist who is trying to take MAHA and all of the U.S. along with him.

jakelafortParticipantIn the last Sunday School of recorded time i add tomatoes to the bill of fare.
Yeah so am i the only one who has noticed it aint easy to find a good tomato? It is unreal man. I picked up an heirloom recently and was presently surprised to discover it was good. Not excellent. But good.
Apropos of nothing but tangential relevance in tact a decade or greater ago in the nonblock human universe was in New Hampshire on vacation. Dirt road and hand made sign says tomatoes and corn. It was mid October already. Really too late in season to expect any produce that far north. Well i went down that farmer’s road off of dirt road and there was a rickety old home but no stand. Some corn and tomatoes on the old porch and a sad looking aged dog. Honor system. Dirt cheap too. I mean ridiculously so.
Both corn and tomatoes so good i kept saying it makes no sense. So i don’t know how many return trips and meals were just corn, tomatoes, cukes, maybe some cheese and or pasta with butter. Just silly. Silly.
Those were the halcyon days. Now occasionally at a farm stand or somebody i know out of a garden a tomato might be ok or pretty good. But in market they f’g suck. Well it looks like the stinking Zionists have come through again. Show-offs. Maybe i should demand the goods before i endorse but i will wait for proof in the pudding. Hey i don’t know if anyone else noticed but popcorn up until a few years ago had turned to shite. Orville and you name favorite brand just sucked. It has improved a little in recent years and i don’t know why…

TheEncogitationerParticipantJake:
The discovery of Levy, Fennec and Rotten is great. And it is even tastier without chemophobia and the Appeal to Nature Fallacy.
As Biochemist Dr. Bruce Ames pointed out:
99.99 % of Pesticides We Eat Are Made by Plants
By Josh Bloom
https://www.acsh.org/news/2018/06/07/9999-pesticides-we-eat-are-made-plants-12962Those pesticides are put there by Natural Selection, not Monsanto. Also, synthetic and plant-made pesticides have the same molecular structure. And carcinogenity is discovered by tests on rodents that notoriously don’t extrapolate well to humans.
And Dr. Andrea Love of Immunologic has pointed out that the amounts of pesticides found in grocery produce is in parts-per-billion and parts-per-trillion, far below levels that are toxic to humans.
It is the dose that makes the poison, per Dr. Perecelsus. Just don’t use Glyphosate as a chaser for for your Vodka and V-8 and you should be copacetic.
Produce from New Hampshire, the “Live Free Or Die” State, goes down without indigestion since the State has no State Income Tax, no Sales Tax, and only a slight Capital Gains Tax. The Honor System is also easier with open and concealed carry with no license required.
The only things that broke the deal for me was that the real estate costs and property taxes were high and to get there, I’d have to go through the Babylons of Washington, DC and New York City, especially now under Mamdani.
Meanwhile, eat hearty and without fear up there!

jakelafortParticipantEnco,
AYA
That is what they say in NH.
June 3, 2026 at 5:43 pm #60852
TheEncogitationerParticipantJake:
Pardon me, I meant to type “Rotem” but the rotten Autocorrect spelled “Rotten”. The Autocorrect must have The Sex Pistols and Johnny Rotten on the artificial brain. 🤪
Now is “AYA” said affirmatively or as a sign of cynicism? Everything about pesticides was corroborated. I wouldn’t be drinking caffeine pesticide right now if it weren’t at safe levels.

PopeBeanieModeratorAnd carcinogenity is discovered by tests on rodents that notoriously don’t extrapolate well to humans.
Wouldn’t this be a great period in USA to run tests on the most anti-science politicians?
