    Enco,

I don’t know if you remember but we saw a vid with the guy who worked for Reuters. And yea it gets copied over and over as though it were honest reporting instead of activists spinning and spreading their filthy ideology.

This is a pretty cool vid by Sagan except it is AI and i don’t even know if it is Sagan’s words.

The BBC (yes!) has posted: Netanyahu says Flydubai attacker had ‘Islamist radical indoctrination’.

Ok Reg but in quotes and in quotes and Netanyahu said. Quoting him to lefties is like quoting Trump. If it is Trump reaffirms he is a very stable genius… not exactly an affirmation with lefties or anyone in their right mind for that matter. In fairness as far as i know evidence is not conclusive but there are a lot of ducks quacking.

    Begrudging thumbs up?

October 7 event extraordinaire. Vigil and a flick.

Oh i wish i could be there in Toronto.

Glorious Martyrs. Gaza Ghetto Uprising. I mean that later name is oddly familiar. I am sure it is not coopted and is an innocent description. These Torontonians must be really pissed at Egypt.

    Reg and Jake:

Let’s also remember there were two auxillary pilots on board and one stabilized the plane till it landed. They are heroes too.

Let’s hope this not only wakes up people to the fact that The War On Islamifascist Terror is still occuring, but wakes our culture up to the fact that experts are necessary, both every day and in times of crisis.

    No argument with that Jake.

Whut wuz all that furrin’ stuff he wuz sayin’? ‘Can’t be any gud comin’ from some Egghead New Yawk Boy starin’ at th’ Firmament above th’ Flat ‘n’ Hollow Earth held together by gravity from th’ Bermuda Triangle!

    *SPIT!* *DING!*🤠💦🏺😉

I jest, of course, but AI is yet to be a good transcriber and translator, so for the time being at least, that foreign language part was head-scrathing. Latin perhaps? Maybe a Star Trek Universal Translator that works in the ambience would make the foreign phasing perfectly understandable. The part that was in English has great truth.

I would say that both jumping at the rustling grassy veldt and the formation of hypotheses and theories are forms of finding patterns in a chaotic Nature. Whichever way we use, our survival and quality of life depends on getting it right.

After a while, jumping at every noise in the veldt would distract from other acts that are life-sustaining either for individuals or a species. No sleeping, diminished awareness in the morning of water to drink, animals to hunt, and plants to forage, sluggish movements to do anything, no males and females making their own rustlings in the veldt, etc.

That’s when humans would make hypotheses and theories and figure out ways to check for or trap intruders while asleep. Taking turns at night watch, making twine trip threads connected to noise-makers, trenches around the encampment, hunting off predators by day so the don’t come by night, making stronger shelters that resist intruders, etc.

This is all just inferential conjecture and thinking backwards to guess how ancient humans would do things to survive. As Carl Sagan observed, I could be wrong.

    Fellow Unbelievers:

Just you wait: Soon, there will be a contingent in MAHA that endorses Medicare-Funded D’Jinn Exorcisms and Female Genital Mutilation For All!

Democrat Abdul El-Sayed courts RFK Jr.’s MAHA voters with new health policy platform

He only uses MAHA rhetoric against Big Ag, Big Food, and Big Pharma ’cause he thinks (((you know who))) runs them all.

And while he talks about getting Lead out of the environment, somehow it’s alright if the Mullahs, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and other Islamists dispense Lead worldwide!

I’m sure there’ll be no mobile grocery stores allowed if they are Israeli aid trucks dispensing disaster relief even to those who would see Israelis dead!

Why can’t this be the Election where everybody running loses and loses big?

    Enco,

If that fantasy of breaking bread/smoking a joint/having a beer with intellectual luminaries materialized i’d include Sagan. Cool guy. Popularizer of science. Endless curiosity and humility.

    Jake:

I’d like to have met him too. Cosmos and The Demon-Haunted World were both super works. But the AI did him no justice in that video by not translating and transcribing him accurately.

AI doesn’t do itself justice evidently, judging from AI actress Tilly Norwood’s interview with Piers Morgan, where she just randomly broke into Chinese mid-conversation:

Though I’m sure Tilly had something more thoughtful to say than Piers and his many noisemaker guests, tailoring the tongue to the audience is what self-aware, courteous humans do.
