I am a Theist of the Christian verity, and a skeptic. I don’t have a problem the miraculous nor the metaphysical, but it must be substantiated. I am comfortable broadening scientific method to go beyond pure naturalism regarding cause, but the phenomenon must be factual, must be real. The limitation that says, “The [physical] Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be” ignores some obvious aspects of life (love, music appreciation, passion, sadness, etc). I feel strongly that the naturalistic cause should be vehemently searched out. I like Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s assertion that,

I haven’t left my faith. At this point I don’t plan on doing so.
