Here’s a potentially relevant story. My first thought was Clinton wants to see someone other than Biden running.

The far left, being mostly very educated, influential, privileged, guilt-ridden whites has already sent a huge chunk of lower middle/working class traditional dem voters to the populist right with stupid shit like identity politics, defund the police, open the borders, tent-lined, downtown streets, squatters’ rights, Hamas are freedom fighters, slavery repatriations, cancel culture, white men can do no nothing moral, etc.  Middle America sees how the feminist push has resulted in their darling daughters running “only fans” porn shows from their bedrooms and how we can’t even watch a Hollywood movie without it being a woke piece of shit superhero flick. The kids can barely read and write, they can’t find Ethiopia on a map because they are busy beating up their teachers. So, I can only conclude that the logic of a running a young, super-liberal candidate is certainly no sure thing.

I agree with a lot of what you outlined as to why the Dems are losing their grip on the working class mostly HS-educated electorate, not all. For example, Hamas isn’t about freedom only but also about the theft of and squatting on land and property by Europeans. THAT is what created Hamas and put the entire Middle East into turmoil. You can say “Well, 75 years have gone by. Get over it,” but obviously they won’t. So, then what?

BTW, the land and property grabs are still going on. You’ve never heard of Jewish “settlers”? A settler grabs a Palestinian property and tells the Palestinian go pound salt, often with the help and support of Israeli police or military. It’s not exactly Little House on the Prairie.

Rational or not, there is a widespread dislike for Biden. True, much of it is fired by the GOP disinformation machine and by inflation that no president ever has much control over, but the best thing the Dems could do is to give Biden his gold watch and send him into retirement and put up someone who could inspire the public and offer a fresh start, like…

Instead, Biden seems to think that only he can defeat Trump in 2024.

The illegal settlers have nothing to do with Hamas or Gaza, who have been DE-occupied for years, but of course, Israel should dismantle all the illegal settlements, just like the 18 settlements they gave up in the Sinai Peninsula when they returned it to Egypt as part of the peace agreement. Israel won the Sinai after Egypt, Syria, and Jordon attacked them and got their asses handed to them.

Would it even matter to the terrorists if Israel did dismantle the illegal settlements? Probably not, but it is the right thing to do.
