Had a hard time logging in on my iPad and iPhone today; after I got the email that AZ had canceled christmas. Lo and behold it’s still alive and kicking.

I get that the other site was untenable. I think that the people, members, make the site what it is not the other way around. This place has a core group of like minded people; well maybe not always like minded cause you guys can go into some intellectual tangents that leave me cross eyed, but I always come back cause “learning can be fun!”. It’s like going to NYU’s School of Continuing Ed and taking Philosphy 101, Astrophysics, Physics, and Theology and Religion all balled up into one.

Also, it’s dead of winter in the North East USA. Shoveling snow, shorter days, so freakin’ gloomy. A lot of people are just doing their LIFE crap right about now. Won’t be long before some fortunate soul comes knocking on our AtheistZone.com front door and we welcome him/her/no sexual preference through our front door! Or not. Or we blast him/her/no sexual preference to within inches of their intellectual lives and watch as they scamper away. And then it’s back to the core group of guys again. Vicious circle.

I like it here. When I’m not complaining about winter and dragging my ass in and out of bed to confront this LIFE thing that we got going on.

What I’m looking for in a forum: 1) intelligent interlocutors, 2) activity, 3) size: large enough to embrace dozens of active members but small enough that I can get to know most of the active ones, 4) minimal moderator interference other than to keep nastiness from getting out of hand and to boot those whose posts are devoid of intellectual content.

Wow, finally I got logged in!

I like this site.  Reg is a real gem, and the sunday school is worth seeing regardless of anything else.  I love it!  I like reading the other members too.

But the log on process is  very difficult for me!  I must have tried 30 times over the past few months.  I tried many times to reset my password.  Those 16 character random mixed case special character passwords?  Difficult to get right on a mobile device.   My password saver wouldnt save it.  I write it down to reenter it, but it doesnt work.  Very frustrating, and maybe a barrier to membership?   I want secure too but…   I really don’t know how I finally got in.

Maybe that’s a factor in use of the website?

I hope this device saved my last entry.  Like I said, I especially love Reg’s comments and sunday school.

I quit Nexus.  I was regular there but it’s no longer for me.  Universe is very nice, I like it very much ❤️ but there arent many members.  So I still want to read and post here too.
