It’s true that there is systemic racism in the UK. But it’s one of the least racist countries, from looking at the other countries.
If that’s the standard, the US meets it and beats it. Much of today’s racism is directed at Middle Eastern Muslim folk, and this is where America is waaay ahead of just about every European country. We have highly respected MEMs at all levels of society and in every income group. We have NO MEM ghettos full of alienated young men unable to find a job or otherwise fit in.
There’s no comparison.
I never heard any racist talk in the press about Meghan. I think that’s all in their heads. We have papers like the Daily Express and the Daily Mail, which love to post stories about asylum seekers – but then their readers seem to love being frightened of everything.
American racism is/was latent. The racists knew that if they expressed it overtly, they’d be labeled and criticized, perhaps even shunned. All it took was for The Trumpster to start talking about Mexican briggands and rapists to give permission to the racists to come out of the woodwork, and the next thing you know there’s a parade of neo-Nazis in Charlottesville chanting “The Jews will not replace us” and the entire Republican Party is concerned about immigration, but only immigration of nonwhites from south of the border.

Let’s play a game: The game is called Harry or William. It’s simple. It goes like this:
Who is more masculine?
Prince William or Prince Harry?

January 14, 2023 at 9:16 am #46480Who do you think has a better sex life? Harry or William? (Bonus points for who is (ahem) bigger).
January 14, 2023 at 10:53 am #46482Who is more masculine? Prince William or Prince Harry?
Prince Harry is a whiner. Real men don’t whine. That’s how the logic goes. I’m not saying I agree with the first two statements.
I’m not sure Harry typifies the type of masculinity known as the whiner. I think it’s more a case that he’s a man dealing with being damaged. His mother was hounded to death, his wife looked to be going the same direction, and he’s had it up to “here” with the British Press and all they’ve done.
As far as their respective types of masculinity, I think Prince Harry is a “jolly dog” and Prince William is maybe a “stiff diplomat”.
January 14, 2023 at 11:02 am #46483Harry is doing something about the unfairness (and amongst the royal family) injustice in how he was/is treated. He is taking control of his life, looking out for his family (and putting his wife and children first), building up his estate and not taking shit from anyone. The people who are calling him a whiner are the English public who will defend the royal status quo at any cost. Harry exemplifies masculinity in at least the Roman sense. He is fighting back, building up and protecting his family and doing it in the face of a vile vicious English public and press.
This isn’t to say that I necessarily admire or condone all of this, and those qualities that I do admire, I admire in men, women and non-binary people. I don’t expect anyone who identifies as male to take on these characteristics.
I do admire someone battling unfairness and injustice, expressing their voice in a theatre where people are trying to dampen it, mutually support those that they care about and make what they can out of their life. I’m not saying that Harry has done some of these things in the most ideal way (or has fully done them) but I certainly respect him a shit ton more than the rest of the useless, money sucking, dysfunctional, outdated, privileged train wreck of a royal family that should have been done with ages ago.
Cannot wait for Scotland to separate to be done with them.
January 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm #46484@Belle Rose – More likely to get a divorce: Harry or William?
William does not need to get a divorce as his wife has already produced an heir. Soon he will be the King (it’s good to be the King) and then he will be another of God’s representatives here on Earth, when he takes charge of the Church of England which was founded on the family moral values of Henry the Eighth.
I don’t think he would have her beheaded if she had not provided an heir. I suspect the tabloids would have a field day and print endless stories and photos about it all. Imagine the ‘Headlines’ about another royal beheading! I’ve heard that after a beheading, one remains aware for a few seconds afterwards and if that ever happens to you, you should quit while you’re ahead. However, it would alienate many of his subjects, except for the Incels and followers of Tate. The tourist industry would suffer too. Though if he takes up residence at Hampton Court Palace, I suspect his wife might get a little nervous. He might be a Prince Charming to many, but Henry was the real lady killer.
The tabloid press writes articles and opinion pieces that do not reach the unbiased and intellectual standards of the above paragraph of mine. Many accuse them of causing the car crash that killed his mother. They seldom mention Dodi Fayed who was her lover. Why is that? He was a non-white Egyptian who had jilted his own his fiancé for the then wife of the current King but nobody talks about him. Why? Dodi did die too dat day didn’t he! But I think the point of that whole story is we should always wear our seat belts.
Tune in next week for another insightful article where I challenge the status quo and ask the big questions that Oprah would ignore. I will have a piece about the possibilities of women reaching orgasm while listening to the Patti Smith song Dancing Barefoot if playing it on loop.

Thank you! I’ve been fascinated by what him and his wife are doing and I am following them closely. Right now he has released their Netflix series in his book but I am really interested to see the type of work they’re going to do through their Archwell foundation. It’s actually been pretty entertaining to watch him live in complete contrast to his family. “Never complain never explain and no comment,” to…..” I’m gonna tell you every living detail about my life.” I think some people say that Harry is saying too much but I think that’s what you get when someone has never been allowed to do or say anything their entire life when all they were told to do is wave and smile. But I’m really interested to see what Harry and Meghan do going forward with their newfound platform. To me that’s going to make all the difference and I actually think they are going to do some really good things in this world together.
January 14, 2023 at 6:06 pm #46488Did you read the link article above that I attached? It talks about how Prince Harry threatens a certain type of man. How do you figure he’s a whiner? It seems to me like you must be a little bit biased towards the royal family. I wonder why is that?

He must have been a husband worth dying for 😂

Wait….what??? I never heard that! 😂 Are you for real? I wonder how many lovers she had….
January 14, 2023 at 6:12 pm #46490Between William doing his duty and Harry taking control of his life on behalf of his family, it’s hard to make a choice since both are virtues. I note as well that they are not mutually exclusive.
Both brothers served in the military though both were also somewhat sheltered from intense combat because they would be prize targets for their enemies, putting anyone around them in extra danger as well. Not their fault. Still, both flew aircraft and did fly risky missions.
Many Americans seem to consider British men as less masculine than American men (“They drink tea while we drink coffee”), which is nonsense, of course. Tea drinking didn’t stop British airmen from whipping the Luftwaffe’s ass in The Battle of Britain.
For me, it comes down to this: If I’m in peril and one brother or the other is coming to rescue me, I think I’d feel more confident knowing it’s Harry.
January 14, 2023 at 6:15 pm #46491@Belle Rose
You didn’t know about Dodi Fayed?
Anyway, she had a dalliance with one of her bodyguards (he says) and with Fayed. I know of no others.
She said that sex with Prince Charles was “awkward.”

I agree 💯
And I would rather have Harry as a husband knowing he won’t let anyone walk all over his wife and get away with it.
January 15, 2023 at 8:39 am #46496How do you figure he’s a whiner?
I’m not saying he’s a whiner. I’m saying a lot of the British public think he is. I try not to have opinions about it, I reserve judgement. One side is making a lot of noise, the other isn’t. I don’t blame Harry for being messed up.
This could be Harry’s dad? But apparently there is red hair on Diana’s side of the family too.
