    Great music from the past that you probably missed.

    Mama Squeeze – by Mallard

    Mallard was formed by members of The Magic Band, as in Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band, after they left the Captain in 1974. These were some of the same musicians who were behind the 1969 experimental release Trout Mask Replica, listed as one of the top 100 albums of all time.

    Sadly, Mallard had only two albums before calling it quits, due to poor record sales. I would suggest that poor marketing was to blame, for I’d not heard of this band until now, over 40 years later.
