Iran has to respond and if they see Israel and the U.S. as joined at the hip, American bases, assets, and persons could now be at risk either directly from Iran itself or through some of their proxies who potentially have a reach as far as the American homeland.

I heard last night that Iran said it responded with 100 drones. Haven’t looked at later news, yet, but so few drones is (to me) obviously just a symbolic slap in the face.

The newest possible threat to us (and any country now) are unexpectedly large and well-hidden or disguised, AI-autonomous drone attacks… anywhere in any country. That’s where innovators like Musk will actually become existentially necessary, at least at first.

New detection capabilities (infrared, microwave, and/or optical frequencies).

Eventually jammers won’t be as useful when AI does the targeting, so we need continuously improving defense weaponry (high energy masers and lasers, extremely fast firing of small bullets, nets)… maybe even EMP bombs for distant swarms.

And unfortunately, stronger surveillance and intelligence gathering, to support pre-emptive strikes.

Just my (strong) opinions. This is a big deal. Perhaps Trump will even change focus over to a real, different kind of invasion.

Yep, and what would today be like if outside powers had not intervened to create it? Israel has been working on nukes and it now seems Iran stole them.

Just my (strong) opinions. This is a big deal. Perhaps Trump will even change focus over to a real, different kind of invasion.

Actually, both drones and illegal aliens who either construct them or bring them in would both be a concern for defense in the future.

I don’t understand. Like pulling wagons through the desert, packed high with drones or drone parts? Driving big containers through customs? Via tunnels, submarines, or Chinese balloons?

I’m (mostly) not making fun, I believe you might have something legit up your sleeve here.

On a possibly related note, I don’t understand why I’ve not heard any media discuss the chances of Iranian nukes working at a moment’s notice without first running live, underground tests. Surely the first successful test would still give time for Israel, USA and others to respond, big time.

Israel fired it’s drones from inside Iran itself after it transported them in. So the possibility that combatants can act from within each others’ territories exists and with the small size of drones it is easier.

The Mullahs in Iran would still desire to destroy Israel and forcibly convert or destroy the non-Shia Muslim world no matter what weapons are used.

It’s far worse than that. If I were a hostile power and I wanted to initiate a nuclear attack on the United States, I’d put a radio signal triggered nuclear warhead in a container on a container ship and when it hits New York or Los Angeles (or both), I’d simply detonate it in the harbor. I’d have brought several other containers in moths earlier, getting them shipped by truck to locations in major cities throughout the country.

And then, I’d tell The White House the situation their in they’d pretty much have to accede to any demand I make…or there goes Chicago!

Now, I’m sure one response to this is to look for flaws in the plan but for the sake of argument, let’s assume everything as been anticipated and a workaround or fail-safe has been applied.

Three points to make here: 1) you don’t need a stealth bomber or submarine-fired bsllistic missile as a delivery vehicle, so Trump’s proposed “Golden Dome” wouldn’t even be a factor; 2) if you can detonate just one, then say you have more in place, the government will have to assume you’re not bluffing, so just one may be all a foreign actor or terrorist organization needs to get what they want; 3) for all we know, there are already “sleeper nukes” distributed all around the country.

Armin Navabi who hails from Iran is pretty stoked about everything and says he’s getting messages that Iranian citizens are cheering Israel for attacking the Islamic Republic!

He points out that the brain and arms and legs of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Council have been largely disabled, and only the mouthpiece (Khameini) remains.

It’s not only a blow to the Mullahs, but it’s a big embarrassment to “Let’s Make A Deal” Trump and the Isolationists and “Realists” of the Left and Right.

Still more remains to be done, the Fordow nuclear facility last I heard, hasn’t been removed, but according to Armin, this could be the end for the Islamic Republic and a victory for the world. Must wait and see.
