When the pandemic was just starting, and public knowledge about the virus was limited, US President Donald Trump appallingly recommended bleach injections. But even that wasn’t as breathtaking as President López Obrador of Mexico, my own country, who recommended having religious stamps with the text “Stop, enemy, that the heart of Jesus is with me!” in one’s own body to prevent the contagion. He further asked people not to lie or be corrupt to avoid contracting COVID-19.

Yes, US Immigration in Dublin Airport is great. When I land in USA I just go straight through (more or less). Will be there in 3 weeks time!

Dub to Heathrow is only about 45 minutes.

Fellow Unbelievers,

What would happen if the world suddenly went vegetarian?

First of all, what would people do with all the animals they previously ate?

Would they keep them as pets? If so, wouldn’t the new pets have the same inputs and outputs and still have the same Carbon footprint? How would that address Vegetarian/Vegan concerns about climare change?

Would they starve, kill, or release into the wild all of this poultry, cattle, pork, and chevron? If the Vegetarian/Vegan concern is animal cruelty, wouldn’t this be the ultimate miscalculation on The Hedonic Calculus?

And if meat animals are released into the wild, wouldn’t this engorge predator animals and birds of prey, favoring traits of size and claws and teeth and eventually make regular-sized predators into monsters?

And once these predators see all this fresh meat coming from human abodes, won’t this eventually mean predators, like fed zoo and park animals, will fear humans less and aggress against humans more?

And meanwhile, won’t released pigs do the same thing they did in lands conquered by Islam, eating vegetation and tree bark until grasslands and forests are felled and stripped bare and turned into deserts?

Worldwide Vegetarianism/Veganism sound like yet another scheme where “means well” does not equal “ends well.”
