    Reg and Fellow Unbelievers,

    Tim Minchin’s Storm Movie.

Can ya dig it, Man? 😎

Many snaps, jazz hands, and raucous applauses for that hip, smokin’, fantastic takedown of both Prehistoric and Postmodern predilictions for ponderous pretense and wicked, woe-inducing Woo!

I had forgotten about the “Storm” video but I know that I have more than once been in his shoes. I seldom, if ever, take any prisoners now. I call it when and where I see (or smell) it. I think many of us here will identify with him too 🙂

Sadly, woo peddlers and nonsense believers are the default, not the exception these days. The past ten years or so have been on fast rewind.

    Reg and Feellow Unbelievers,

    Scottish HATE CRIME Special

Andrew Doyle was an absolute scream to hear! 😁😆😅😂🤣

He reminded me that Wokeism has so eat up our society, that even Fundamentalist Christians are taking up WokeSpeak!

I encountered one on another Forum who said that LGBTQ people were engaged in “cultural appropriation” from God by using the Rainbow Flag and Rainbow symbology.

I then replied: “Well let God bring his ass and show his Trademark, Copyright, and/or Patent!”

So far, no reply from either God, his Attorney, or his Viceroy-On-Earth, so here goes!

Need proof we’re living in an upside down world in a topsy-turvy alternative reality? During this year’s “March Madness,” women’s basketball pulled more viewers than the men’s games.

    By a lot.

I think it’s been years since I mentioned Storm… way too long for this masterpiece. Thanks to the transcript, here’s one of my favorite bits of lyrics in it:

Science adjusts its views based on what’s observed. Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved. If you show me that, say, Homeopathy works, then I will change my mind, I’ll spin on a fucking dime, I’ll be embarrassed as hell, but I will run through the streets yelling, “It’s a miracle! Take physics and bin it! Water has memory! And while its memory of a long lost drop of onion juice seems infinite it somehow forgets all the poo it’s had in it!’

But it’s so ageless I optimistically expect it will be remembered even more decades from now. TBH, its ending gave me goosebumps.

Late edit: Tim’s live version is also great.

    I won’t add any reactions here. 🙂

That isn’t WOKE. The christians have been bitching about that long before woke was a thing.

I saw this a decade ago:

I’ve heard other “cultural appropriation” charges:

You took the term ‘gay’ cus it was no longer used.

You took the rainbow to piss off the christians.

You’re taking  the term ‘deprograming’ which had the wider meaning of rescuing people from cults.

    Reg,

The bonny Scots accent of Elaine Miller was bloody thick, and I initially didn’t know what a merkin was except that it wasn’t ‘Murikun 🇺🇲, but I got the jist of it anyway and liked it even more when I looked it up. 😁😆😅😂🤣

The idea of pregger women having a little male left in them after they give birth was a genius reply to Frank N. Furters (my term for the Trans version of Karen or Chad.) 😁

    Unapologetic,

If it was 10 years ago, it was Social Justice Warrior-Speak, which was a precursor to Wokeism.

And whatever the term is, the whole phenomenon of anyone thinking they have the lock on language and culture and that language and culture cannot be dynamic or shared by all just oozes with an entitlement mentality, so Fundamentalist Christians and Wokesters are really siblings under their skins and pelts.
