The quantum batteries that upend the rules of charging.…..The important thing is that “bigger” means more coherently participating quantum units, not simply a physically larger battery. Adding more cells appears to reduce the charging time. But remember that nuclear fusion is still only 10 years away, since we began waiting for it 60 years ago 🙂

    Jake:

Enco i never thought about the bicycle gender apartheid. I am not sure why. Usually i look junk up. Not this time. I may die never knowing why.

It’s not gender apartheid per se, since presumably it is mostly men who manufacture bicycles. It’s more lack of situational awareness by bicycle manufacturers and sales reps.

You may never ask the question, but you and your “junk” will find out why the question needs answering if you slip off of your bicycle seat. Then you might wish for the sting of death to end the pain of misplaced bars. Personally, I say recreational transportation that doesn’t systemicly threaten and injure delicate parts is best.

You should not make fun of Ben. Soon all Bens will be replaced by Benbots. They can’t be contained. Sandboxes are futile as you have probably read or heard.

Neither Bens nor anyone else nor Benbots should have a surgery implement in their hands or grips if they do not have an understanding and acceptance of the fundamental tenet of Biology known as Evolution. Also, not having violent urges that can only be calmed by scripture verses is a must. Otherwise Bens and anyone else and Benbots should remain in the sandbox.

BTW how soon can i expect the brave new world of AI when it is causing us pain to be pinned on Jews?

Mr. Owl has not licked and crunched Antisemitism, Racism, or any other form of Collectivism or Irrationalism, so the world may only know when that happens. Until then, keeping AI from doing harm and eternal vigilance of an owl is the best practice.

So why couldn’t the Quantum Physicists use the particles that travel backwards in time to create a drive that makes the release date for fission and quantum batteries (not to mention other upcoming technologies) even quicker? I’m sure some collector somewhere still has a DeLorean “Snow-Mobile” and a Flux Capacitor. 🤔😁

We could solve the charging-time problem by sending the fully charged battery backwards in time to before it was plugged in? No engineering deadlines required. Why is the patent office always closed when I go there?

Naturally, you’d have to time your going back in time to coincide with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) business hours. 😁

Also, be very careful to not claim you could go back in time in perpetuity.

Prima Facie, Ipso Facto, A Priori, Res Ipsa Loquitur the U.S. PTO will not approve patent applications for perpetual motion machines.

(This has nothing to do with actual government bureaucracy or with “Lizard People” or “Small Hats” conspiracies against “suppressed technology,” but the Laws of Thermodynamics, which have never been known to bend to anyone.)

Then again, come to think of it, if time reversal really were effective, it could also reverse Entropy, which would put it against The Laws of Thermodynamics.

So, I guess we’ve got no choice but to shut up and enjoy our Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride cells. They still provide hours of enjoyment in toys for all ages. And nanotech will eventually come up with better ways to recycle the material of dead batteries.

And somewhere Thomas Sowell is tut-tutting and saying: “‘Told you so…”

An interesting opinion piece on ethics and moral identity.

Problem is, The New York Times is so concerned about it’s paywall while shilling for Mamdani and not wanting anyone else to make money. Kinda undermines any talk of ethics and morality, especially the Reciprocity Ethic.
