    Funny stuff Reg. Chuckled twice.

I listened to a female hostage a few nights ago. Disturbing. She described a culture of shame. Her overarching message was the intent on part of her captors to humiliate the Israelis. Her body was not her own. Not just the rape, rape, rape.

There was an article recently in which i think it was IDF translated encrypted messages from lower level Hamas to Hamas leaders. The lower level guys were complaining how the higher ups were stealing all of the humanitarian aid. One of them complained i can give my blood, die in war but i can’t bear the shame of not providing. Hamas leaders responded by ordering the wives of the hamas operatives to be beaten in the mosque. I assume that underlies honor killings and is perhaps a cultural relic that mixes well with Islamic indoctrination to further deteriorate a broken culture.

Israel is overrun with people in need of mental health treatment as a result of Oct 7. It is only a little under 900 who have died in battle but as a nation it is astonishing how many are suffering. Israel has developed or enhanced many technologies and treatments that i am certain will be the paradigm for some time to come. It is not quite what one would expect from a genocidal nation. Seems one side is intent on genocide; and the other has moral standards that i am not sure a nation like USA would employ.

The lies are coming and will generate greater and greater head shaking disbelief on one side and full on acceptance on the other. Look at the avalanche coming at us! Look at the angels from above guiding and guarding us.

Trump is about as full of shit as anyone i can conjure. Would love to take a poll after his lies. Zelensky a dictator who started the war against Russia who may deserve to be executed? Same as the lefties with their lies that are accepted without question. Apartheid, apartheid, genocide, genocide. Everyone is saying it even mainstream media so it is true. Thank you Goebbels. That is why i rate agrument from popularity as top cat topppa. I would think independents and democrats would 90 plus reject that Zelensky lie. His hard core cultists 90 plus believe it. But when Trump has a policy that makes sense or is neutral we see Trump derangement from the dems.

Thus the danger of ideology. If there is a defense to being manipulated and partially brain dead other than critical thinking i don’t know what it is. Is there anyone influential in education or any school that has made critical thinking a fundamental aspect of their curriculum? It is so obvious to me that it is an experiment we must try.

    Reg,

Free expression of thought and opinion is all the more pressing to defend in a nation with the history of Germany, under centuries of Catholic and Lutheran Christendom, the rule of the Kaisers, the rule of the Nazis for 12 years, and half of Germany under the Communists for 44 years.

In today’s Germany, it is not only forbidden to use racist, ethnicist, xenophobic “hate speech” but even to use equal opportunity insults or to state the obvious-to-all fact that politicians can be dicks.

Yet the once-great CBS gum-shoe investigative show 60 Minutes gleefully goes along with this German police-state surveillance and censorship. It made me sick watching this smug officious bunch of bureaucrats and their lapdog interviewer:

You’ll notice the politzei patches were still red, white, and black. *Sigh!*. Nothing changes.

By the way, you did the right thing by defending your friend with blasphmous mockery of her tormentors. You countered bad speech with better speech. Be glad you can now legally do that in Ireland. This American supports you!

Now speak against the apparent lack of medical privacy in Ireland’s single-payer health care system. Here is where silence should be golden, since patient information is given to health care practitioners in trust.

    Jake,

Defending equal rights for women is a hopeless cause with the pro-Islamist, pro-Hamas UN and so-called NGOs that depend on both domestic and foreign taxdollars and who deny the very reality of women as distinct biological beings

U.N. Official Faces Backlash for Acknowledging Bioogical Reality
    https://unherd.com/newsroom/un-official-faces-backlash-for-acknowledging-biological-reality/

You do not need Donald J. “Covfefe” Trump or Elon “Leon” Musk to tell you that this whole bunch needs their tax spigot cut off and to be sent packing to take their cat-fight off of our shores.

    Goddamit Enco,

Don’t get me going about the lefty morons! When the UN and Amnesty and the rest of the ersatz human rights organizations are driven by ideology instead of human rights we get confirmation bias served hot and steaming. The lefty’s eat it up with relish. The people in need? Fuck em. Don’t let desperate need get in the way of a good story.

Truth is we all need to recognize the way beliefs are formed and how difficult it is for the vast majority to jettison the junk. The more hard core the indoctrination the greater the weight of the belief.

Those medieval moronic Christians? Were they different from today’s people? Certainly not much different from today’s Muslims. And we need to awaken the unwoke woke. Thus i spoke. Thus spake those who intend to wake the comatose woke. Hocus pocus i can’t focus when i cant tell left from right in my locus. So here is another great lesson served by the incomparable Yasmine Mohammed. Trust me on this. If you have never read her books or listened to her podcasts this one is a great representation of the reality of the middle east and the frustration against western idiocy known as progressive/lefty/woke whatthefuckism.

Well sayeth-ed, Jake-athustra. I put it this way:

    “Woke” is just Left-Wing Feelz.

    “Based” is just Right-Wing Feelz.

What I want is to be is “Thought” which means putting Real Realz before Feelz, which includes Realz before Ben Shapiro’s Feelz and anyone else’s Feelz including, hardest of all, my own Feelz. One Feelz Further, as Richard Dawkins might say.

Many who are “Thought” people regard The Nolan Chart and The Political Compass and all their hilarious Reddit versions as more accurate loci for focus than Left Wing-Right Wing hocus pocus.

    The Political Compass

The only truly good wings man ever made were those with Buffalo hot sauce or Colonel Sanders’ secret blend of eleven herbs and spices or those made by the Wright Brothers and perfected thereafter.

I will definitely check out Yasmeen Mohammed’s content on YouTube. Judging from the titles, she has a good variety of topics and guests. 2+ hours is long in the tooth for content, but I do get into shorter lengths.

If Trump’s mission was sow chaos it is going great guns.

I just wonder whether the cultists who are about to be directly fucked by electing him will alter their viewpoints. Where are the social scientists? So many vines to pick grapes.

Just came across this. So it is true that the Islamists/Qatar/lefty’s and their money have infiltrated US high schools. The nonphilosophical reactive part of me would love to send the proponents of Jew hatred/boot licking of Islam directly to Hamas or any hard core Islamic culture to let them FEEL what it is they are advocating and encouraging in the west. In a day they’d be begging for Tel Aviv if it were available.

    Dumb as a rock?

    Which large group is exempt?

Seeing the world that way engenders hatred and polarization. When will we as a species come to recognize that there is absolutely nobody home? That is true for vast majority of humans. Whichever way the current goes they go. Unless and until we recognize how easily manipulated we are and how central to our identity our beliefs nothing good will occur. Our beliefs drive our behavior. We have to see each other as all essentially the same. Otherwise it is just more and more outrage, villifying the others and being or feeling justified in taking unspeakable action against others.

    Jake spake.

If you contemplate the cynical/skeptical apolitical or at least nonideological individuals v those with the most ardent beliefs it is the difference between a ticking time bomb and an inert gas.

The communist. The fundamentalist fill in the blank. The Nazi. The hate group member. The former Christians of centuries ago and a few today. The Muslims. The terrorists. All brain dead and acted upon from without.

Critical thinking is a must experiment for All people. And so is a movement that stops the bs. The lefty’s all over the far right. The far right all over the lefty’s. And mostly blind to their own ideological dog shit. Portray us as we are. Don’t turn our reality into an aesthetic morality play.

Firstly, “Jake spake” is possibly the coolest signoff line I’ve seen 😎.

Regarding wishing we could all see each other as equals, that’s not how humans evolved. We are an instinctive tribal species, and there’s always “the enemy” somewhere to fight. If you’ve got no-one to fight, you’ll lose your fighting people.

You see it in football in Europe. Each team has a particular nemesis team. We love competitions because we cannot conceive of an absence of “the enemy”.  We’re not wired that way

(and as I type this, John Lennon’s Imagine has just come up on the radio)

    Strega,

    Thank you for mackwowledging me.

Agreed, humans are hierarchical. Other than Kung Bushman not aware of any culture that does not have a hierarchy. On the other hand the Kung Bushman exhibit that lovely evolutionary survival advantage-neuroplasticity. And it is what we need to harness in a better direction.

As for the others/nonmembers of our individual groups/tribes yowzers. It is a residue of evolution that greatly affects all but a few. If we saw our brain scans when being tribal and compared lets say Hamas contemplating the infidels v. our skeptically inclined critical thinker who has decided on the least evil poliitical system and has a willingness and capability of changing viewpoints based on evidence contemplating same issue as Hamas we would observe possibly different parts of the brain highlighted and firing in a non parallel way.

What i am saying is we need to recognize ourselves and alter the patterns. Simon and Garfunkel sang about patterns even if they did not imagine all the people living for the day. Lets free that rat on a wheel. Lets recognize how horrific the lives are of the masses born into the various manifestations of irrational and ardent belief.

So two things. First alter those patterns by prioritizing critical thinking in education. If we are as a species to survive it is the way. Ardent belief in the irrational is DEATH. Critical thinking is the antidote or prophylactic. Otherwise those patterns channel us into the external patterns of our greater culture and family. Ardent believers in all things irrational are anathema to our long terms survival and personal life satisfaction. Best way to fight ardent belief is with critical thinking.

It’s not true that humans have always been hierarchical and warlike.  Different, ancient living conditions meant that egalitarianism ruled the day.  We see it in modern egalitarian societies like the Batek of Malysia and the Kung bush people.  There are a number of reasons:

Sharing – harsh living conditions from around 4 million years ago meant that humans had to stop competing and start sharing, in order for them all to survive.

Nomadic hunter gatherer societies are called “immediate return” because there is an immediate return on people’s investment of work: food is available immediately after hunting or gathering it, and is not stored.  In addition, all possessions are shared.  The important thing is that since there are no controllable means of production, this avenue of holding power is cut off.

    Other factors:

    – people are mobile, so if someone tries to oppress or control them, they can just move away.

    – everyone has equal access to the group’s sharing network, so nobody can deny someone food or resources.

    – enforcement of an egalitarian ethos, through strict social levelling mechanisms: ridicule, estrangement, assassination of “big-men” and bullies.

In a truly egalitarian society, women are as free as men, for all the same reasons, and relationships are monogamous, and not for life.

As for war – there was nothing to fight over, so people probably didn’t go to war, and more likely teamed up and cooperated and traded instead.  This is backed up by the archaeological evidence.

In-group solidarity must have evolved straight away as humans came down from the forest trees into the sparse woodland and savannah, because everyone in the small bands needed everyone else, personally.  Out-group bias can only have been a recent addition, as warfare arose between 18,000-12,000 years ago.

So, we’ve been “tribal” for maybe 150,000 years, and warlike for 18,0000-12,000 of those.
